2. I think that the company Bauer media group would be appropriate institution to
distribute my magazine because they have also published “Kerrang” and “Q” which
are both leading rock magazines in the UK, which targets a similar or the same
audience group as my magazine.
3. It would be beneficial for my magazine as the company braches out with their
magazine so are better known than other companies. One of the company’s
magazines Kerrang has over 37,500 in circulation, this shows that the company has a
big audience and it is the same sub-genre as my magazine.
But two of their biggest links is their: website and radio station.
Kerrang radio targets an audience similar to my age range. This would benefit
my magazine as music would be played on that station that would
be reflected in my magazine.
4. My magazine would also extend into different areas of media such as
having an online website which could include the music I mention in
my magazine which could have articles and previews of new artists.
My magazine would as have a
YouTube channel as Kerrang has
over 45,000 people subscribed to
their YouTube account and over
910,000 people are subscribed to
“RiseRecords” YouTube channel
who produce a large majority of
artist featured in my magazine. This
shows that my audience can be
reached using this method of
advertising.

5. My magazine shows some
stereotypical ideas for example the
poses and clothes of the models. This
will make Bauer media group more
inclined to publish my magazine
because the company wants
mainstream ideology as it will sell
more copies and be less controversial
which will make it less hassle for them.
6. Although this
could be risky
for Bauer
media group
because my
magazine is
similar to
publications
they already
own, my
magazine is
different
because it
features
artists who
are newly
signed but are
still
mainstream.
Because of
this unique
selling point it
could also
attract my
people to buy
my magazine
who may not
already be
purchasing
Bauer media’s
other
publications,
this means
that my
magazine
would be
beneficial for
them to have.
