Unstoppable Confidence
1. Unstoppable Confidence
"Unstoppable Confidence” will enable us to smash through those barriers and limited beliefs that
we have about ourselves and move forward in our life. Confidence helps us feel ready for life's
experiences. When we're confident, we're more likely to move forward with people and
opportunities — not back away from them. And if things don't work out at first, confidence helps
us try again. As they say, Confident people are the successful people.
Many people in life have the same number of skills but what holds them back is their lack of
self-belief. Self-confidence is just one element in a triad of things that make up our overall
“confidence.” Here’s what you can do to boost yours.
Practice being hyper-honest with yourself
Step out of your comfort zone
Defy your imposter syndrome
2. Amp up your etiquettes in terms of how you dress, maintain
posture etc
We will need a strong inner belief system to be the confident person we want to become. Self-
acceptance gives us the much-needed energy and room to grow. Having a strong value/inner
belief system is very much dependent on our ability to accept ourselves-who we are, what we
feel, how we see the world independent of what others say, think, feel, and do.
The benefits of a strong inner belief system are varied and great:
Stronger self confidence
Healthy self esteem
Greater life satisfaction
Comfort with self and others
But how exactly do we go about developing this strong inner belief system? Following are some
questions for us to consider. Finding the answers to these can help us begin to weed out the muck
of "everybody else says," and get back to the purity and perfection of self-expression.
1. Explore what we currently believe: about work, life, people, ourselves
2. How much of what we believe is our own?
3. How much of it reflect our own inner belief system and are those
empowering or limiting?
4. What do we want to believe?
5. What messages about life, people, work, ourselves did we get from
family as we shaped our personality?
6. What's our response when we express our belief, and someone
disagrees?
As we explore the answers to these questions, we will begin to realise that we do have a very
strong belief system. We may not always enforce or communicate it, but it's there. The hard part
then, is in developing confidence in our ability to express, in an unwavering fashion, these
beliefs. Focus on things that inspire you, and you'll feel more powerful.
Others will challenge, but we need to see our ability to continue with our belief system intact as
part of our own personal growth-an opportunity to test our belief, and should it continue to feel
solid, restate and reinforce it strongly.
3. Hence, Confidence is all about TAKING THE FIRST STEP.
So, here’s how remain confident in any situation. Below are the 8-point reminder!
1. Think through the desired outcome - Ask yourself - "How would a
person with confidence do this?"
2. Visualise yourself doing the tasks. Close your eyes and see yourself
doing it successfully.
3. Prepare thoroughly. What are you going to say? How are you going to
say it? Etc.
4. Before you do it, go through it in your mind several times and be
positive.
5. Put it into perspective.
6. DO IT!
7. Learn from the outcome you get for next time.
8. REWARD yourself for DOING rather than TALKING about doing it!
Always remember that at the end of the day we only LIVE once so make the most of every
opportunity and every moment that comes our way and unleash your unlimited potential.
