Written with love by Cathy Shapiro
Once in awhile,
Right in the middle of
an ordinary life,
Love gives us a fairy
tale.
Loving you has been so
nice
I’ll marry you not once
… but twice!
So ….

The most beautiful of our ser-
vices is Havdalah, a
fragrant ritual that
marks the end of
Shabbat. We usher
in Shabbat with the
Kiddush, and say
goodbye with the
Havdalah. This
separates Shabbat
from the ordinary
week that follows.
Havdalah is trans-
lated as “separation, distinction,
division.” God is known as ha-
Mavdil, One who separates, “the
sacred from profane, light from
darkness, the seventh day of rest
from six days of labor.” At the
moment of separation we can
only marvel at the distinctions,
and bless ha-Mavdil, the Eternal,
for these gifts.
Please join us as we bid Shabbat
a fond farewell, and begin a not-
so- ordinary time in our lives
with a Havdalah service.
Because you have shared in
our lives
by your friendship and love
We cordially invite you
to witness the reaffirmation
of our wedding vows
at 7:30 PM
