OBJECTIVE:
Entry level position for an Electrical and Computer Engineer.
EDUCATION:
Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Worcester, MA.
Minor in Manufacturing Engineering and Spanish, (GPA = 3.79) (May 2016)
RELATED COURSEWORK: Microelectronic Circuits, Analog Integrated Circuit Design, Digital Circuit Design, Continuous
Time Signal and System Analysis, *Control Systems Engineering, Quality Planning, Design and Control, Sensors, Circuits, and
Systems, *Design for Manufacturability, Wireless Networks and Communication Systems. (*To be completed by May 2016)
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Electrical Engineer, Allegro Microsystems, Worcester, MA, May-August 2015.
 Designed and simulated the schematic for a BIGFET ESD circuit in Cadence environment.
 Tested other ESD devices using a TLP machine and recorded the measurements.
 Presented a report for testing and simulation results.
Hub Ambassador, National Grid Sustainability Hub, Worcester, MA, May-August 2014.
 Developed presentations to educate costumers/employees about the smart grid project in Worcester.
 Documented network details and device descriptions of both the in-home and the grid networks.
ACADEMIC PROJECTS:
Control Engineering Project: Design and Analysis of Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), WPI, January-March 2016.
 Work in a team of three to analyze and controlthe functionality of ABS.
 Design an engineering structure to create a simplified block diagram for the controlsystem.
 Formulate system transfer functions and state transitions matrices to quantify the performance of the control system.
 Developed a control strategy using PID compensators to enhance the controlsystem.
Major Qualifying Project: Application of Giant Magnetoresistive (GMR) Sensors in Electric Guitars, WPI and Allegro
Microsystems, September 2015 - March 2016.
 Work in a team of three to build an electric guitar using GMR sensors instead of inductive pickups.
 Researched the cutting edge technology behind the GMR sensor and its different applications.
 Designed different signal conditioning circuits for the sensor’s output and conducted value analysis for each.
 Executed tests using different shapes of magnetic fields to optimize the sensor’s performance.
Interactive Qualifying Project: Enhancing the Mentor Network at Voces Vitales Costa Rica (VVCR), WPI and San
Jose, Costa Rica, January-May 2015.
 Worked in a team of four to assist VVCR in adding value to its mentor network.
 Evaluated the preexisting VVCR mentor network through surveying the mentors.
 Conducted background research on other women mentor networks to define their best practices.
 Produced an implementation guide for VVCR that details additional services to be added to the mentor network.
Electrical and Computer Engineering Design Project: Milk Spoilage Detector, WPI, August-October 2014.
 Worked in a team of three to design and build a milk spoilage detector that would retrofit as a milk container cap.
 Conducted market research on existing milk spoilage detector products to determine the customer base.
 Analyzed different possible designs based on functionality and feasibility.
 Simulated and built the circuit using infrared CO2 detector, MSP430, DC/DC converter, transistors and shift registers.
SKILLS:
Equipment: Soldering, CNC Mini Mills, Lathes.
Computer: Cadence, CAM, Matlab, C, Java, Rproject, Pspice, Wireshark and Maple.
Foreign Language:Arabic (Native) and Spanish (Advanced).
ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE:
CRLA (College Reading and Learning Association) Level 3 Master Certified Tutor, WPI, Sept 2013-Present.
 Lead 345 hours of one-on-one tutoring and 35 hours of group tutoring on Statics and Intro to ECE courses.
Senior Engineering Ambassador, WPI, Worcester, MA, September 2013-Present.
 Present to middle and high school students about engineering aspects/careers followed up by a scientific activity.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:
Member of Alpha Gamma Delta-Zeta Zeta Chapter, WPI, February 2013-Present.
Web Coordinator of IEEE-Eta Kappa Nu (ECE Honor Society), WPI, March 2014-Present.
ACADEMIC AWARDS:
Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society, WPI, Dec 2013-Present.
Dean’s List, WPI, January-December 2013/August-December 2014.
Charles O. Thompson Scholar, WPI, August 2012-May 2013.
Presidential Scholarship, WPI, August 2012-Present.
