I decided todo my research about this clip because I
very much like the style of this clip and animations
similar to it.
• I like the style because it’s very smooth and the
movements that the characters make are very fluid
like.
• I like the colour scheme too I like the pastel like
colours and reminds me of comic books.
3.
• I thinkthe quality of the line in this animation
is pretty good as the lining of the drawings
stay consistent and don’t wobble around all
over the place.
• I’d say the movement of the subjects in the
animation are smooth flowing but the
animation it’s self is fast paced.
• There isn’t really anything in the animation
that is realistic
4.
• I guessthe animation being unreal and
exaggerated mixed with the music, tends to make
you move around to the beat a bit and draws you
in to the escapism.
• The characters in the animation are all just
dancing, but the main character is defeating the
enemies because it’s part to do with what he
does in the actual film.
• The film was written and directed by James Gunn,
but I could not find any information about who
did the animation.
5.
• Diegetic andnon-diegetic sound-
There is music playing in this sequence which is
clearly non-diegetic, but at the end of the
animation there is a subtle sound of the
people dancing panting .
This animation also reminds me of another
animation in the beginning of another film,
which ironically, also, features Ellen Page.
6.
The animation thatthis reminds me of is from a
film called Juno.
While the styles are completely different there
are some similarities like the colours, They
both appear to be brightly coloured and styled
as if they were drawn with crayons.
One is a concept animation and the other is a
rotoscope animation.
