Ryan to Announce Campaign for Congress
Remarks will credit Neumann’s anti-tax legacy
and highlight Ryan’s Paycheck Protection Agenda
JANESVILLE – Former congressional aide and Janesville businessman Paul Ryan will
formally announce his campaign as a Republican candidate for the First Congressional
District. The Ryan campaign has scheduled the following events to kick-off the election
effort:

The first district seat is being vacated by Republican Congressman Mark Neumann who
is leaving the seat to oppose Senator Russ Feingold in the US Senate campaign.
Family, friends, and special guests will join Ryan at each of the three scheduled rallies.
Refreshments will be served.
“I am grateful for all the support and contributions we received during the exploratory
stage of the campaign” said Ryan, “and now with the help of families all across the first
district, we start the campaign that will lead us into the next century and the new
millenium.”
Ryan will visit communities throughout the sprawling first congressional district during
the remaining week’s announcement swing.
