4. February 26
Mommy pinned the key inside my coat before I
went to school. The pin poked my finger when
I took it out to unlock the door, but I didn't
cry. I put a band-aid on all by myself. It has
a duck on it. I think Mommy and Daddy will be
proud of me.
February 27
I waited up past my bedtime for Mommy and
Daddy to get home. I fell asleep on the couch.
I think I missed school. I put Mr. Woof in my
brother's crib. Mr. Woof is his favorite toy.
Mommy usually lets him take it to the
doctor's. I hope they get home soon.
March 1
No matter how hard I press, the band-aid
won't stay on my finger. I made a jelly
sandwich, even though I'm not supposed to
touch the knife. I'm trying to be brave, but I
miss them.
March 4
The landlord, Mr. Tomashevsky, knocked on the
door and asked if Mommy was home. Mrs.
Tomashevsky brought me chicken noodle soup
because I was really hungry. I asked her if
Mommy and Daddy forgot where we lived. I
felt bad that I made her cry.
My name is Hadrian.
5. Modus Operandi
After his family disappeared, young
Hadrian was sent to live with his career-
driven aunt. Basically left on his own, he
immersed himself in the study of the
greatest detectives - real and fictional -
sharpening his skills to an elite level.
Despite graduating from high school
with honors, he chose to take a job as the
night janitor at his former elementary
school because he noticed that few
people pay attention to anyone wearing
that uniform - a sad fact that serves him
well.
Assisted by unlikely allies and hindered
by an unlikely foe, his search goes on.
6. Now in his late twenties, school
janitor Hadrian pours his
intellect, money and passion
into his search for the truth
about his missing family.
While he searches for his own
answers, his sensitive heart
prompts him to also find
answers for those who have
none, because he knows how
much not knowing hurts.
HADRIAN
WILLIS
He follows any line of inquiry - be it criminal,
happenstance or supernatural. He often encounters
those who promise answers, but only want the cash he
offers. Each time he pays for a lie, his anger becomes
harder to control.
In his stark basement room, he harms himself instead
of those who've misled him. At times, he wonders if he
has shed too much blood over a pointless pursuit or not
enough.

7. MICHAEL
FINLEY
A bully since childhood,
Michael is in his thirties and a
decorated detective with the
New York Police Department.
Since witnessing his partner's
brutal murder during an
undercover operation, PTSD
has robbed him of his ability to
do his job.
To his shame, he is forced to take a desk job with the
New York City Police Foundation, determining whether
civilians who provide information are eligible to receive
reward money.
Noticing that several claims appear to be going to the
same person, he sets out to discover who is doing the
NYPD's work and to stop them. If he can't do his job,
then nobody will.

8. MS. ROCKWORTH
A grandmother in her sixities, Mrs.
Tomashevsky never met a mouth
she didn't want to feed. She still
feels guilty that her best friend's
son, Hadrian, was left alone for
days. Now that he's an adult, she
watches over Hadrian like a mother
hen and will do anything she can to
help him move on - even if it means
putting herself in harm's way.
The enigmatic Ms. Rockworth
has been the librarian at
Hadrian's elementary school
since he was a student there.
More likely to put a finger to her
lips than speak aloud, she feeds
Hadrian information to help him
in his investigations. Why she
helps him is another mystery for
him to solve.

11. #entertainmentwithapurpose
Award winning screenwriter B. A. Hendrickson
combined her love for her adopted hometown of
New York City and passion for entertainment with
a purpose to create REWARD - a show designed to
increase awareness of the millions of unsolved
missing person cases and what the lack of closure
does to the families left behind.
REWARD also addresses the seldom discussed
issue of men's mental health - namely depression
and self-harming behavior.
