6. Requirements
• Invest in the Dominican Republic a minimum of
US$200,000, or its equivalent in national
currency or any other international currency
accepted by the Central Bank of the Dominican
Republic, to the capital of a new or existing
company.
• In those cases in which the investment made is
directed to the capitalization of Designated
Investment Projects: the minimum amount
required for the investment will be determined
by the Executive Power, through certification
issued by the Office for the Promotion of
Foreign Investment of the Dominican Republic
(OPI-RD). In the specific case of dealing with
companies established under the free zone
regime, this certification will be issued by the
National Council of Free Export Zones (CNZFE)
