1. Adobe Standard Default for Viewing .tif Files
You can set your Adobe Standard X software to open all .tif files, usually faxes, so you can easily save
them as PDF's
1. If you don't already have one, save a .tif file to your computer, desktop is fine. You can delete it
later.
2. Right click on top of the .tif file and mouse over
[Open With]  select [Choose Default Program]
3. From the [Open With] dialog
box, click the down arrow to the right
of [Other Programs] and select
Adobe Acrobat. (Mine is already
showing up in the [Recommended
Programs] but yours should still be in
the [Other Programs]. If you do not
see it there then it is likely you do not
have this program installed.)
4. Make sure the box is checked
where it says [Always use the
selected program to open this kind
of file] then click ok.
