A dozen Cantabrian agri-foodcompanies position their products inthe United Kingdom.

SantanderSpainCantabriaRegional has launchedan innovativeandcutting edge programmein the
Spanishmarket, which will enable a dozenCantabrianagri-foodcompaniesto positiontheir products
in the UnitedKingdom, takingadvantageof the Bank'sstrongpresence in bothmarkets.
This uniqueinitiative forms part of the new corridor propositionbetweenSantanderSpainand
SantanderUK. As partof thiscorridor, bothbanksare closely working togetherto leverage the
Group'sstrongpresence in bothmarketsto offer a uniqueand truly differential valuepropositionin
the corridor.
The programme, which is organised in collaborationwith CEOE-Cepyme(Spanishbusiness
organisations), will showcaseto customers(well-established companiesin the regional market of
Cantabriawith a turnoverbetween 500,000 and13 EURmillion)the Group's capacity to build
connectionsin the Spain-UnitedKingdomcorridorandthe comprehensiverange of financial andnon-
financial services onoffer tothem.
"Itis notjust abouttrade missions, gettingto knowpeople andhavingbilateral meetings. The goal is
to providethe companieswith a complete trainingon financial skills andcommercial aspects; very
specific training, focusedon exportingto the United Kingdomandto the agri-foodsector",

The project is split intofive phases:
Last September, the participantsreceived a training courseon methodsof internationalpayment.
This was a two-day course certified by the University ofCantabria Foundationforthe Study and
Research of the FinanceSector (UCEIF) and involvedthe SantanderFinancialInstitute(SanFi).

Subsequently, theparticipantsreceived an initial introductiontothe British marketthroughthe
SantanderTrade digital platform, focused especially onthe agri-food sector with an individualsession
andpersonalised dossierfor each company.
In October, the companieswill take part in an industry-specificbusinessEnglishcourse taughtby
native speakers.
This will be followed by a seminaron the currency andits effects ontrade relations
The project will end with a breakfast with the UnitedKingdom'scounsellorfor economic and
commercial affairs in Spain.
All this trainingwill culminate in a trade missionto Londonon24-25 October, where they will be
received by the counsellor for economic andcommercial affairs in LondonandSantanderUK's
company managementteam.
Participantsin the programmewill attend meetingswith leading sector specialist in the region, visit a
large retail operation, a networking dinnerwith variousdistributorsandtakepart in a small trade fair
exhibiting Cantabrianproducts, duringwhich B2Bmeetings havebeen scheduledwith importers
thankstoto the SantanderTrade Network and the entire team behind it.
