2. Duties and skills 11 years medical:
Assisting during clinic, triage patients, record patients' medical history, health maintenance,
and chief complaint, interpret and carry out provider orders.
Catheterizing, assisting during urethral/bladder scopes.
Prepare, restock and disinfect examination rooms, procedure rooms, lab area and all other
patient care areas at scheduled intervals and as needed.
Perform all duties in accordance with clinical, OSHA and infection control standards.
Wound care and dressing changes.
Document all patient-related communication and interventions in patient’s electronic
medical record.
Prepare patients for examination and assists physician during treatment, examinations and
testing of patients.
Injections, suture/staple removal.
Phlebotomy, preparing blood/biopsy for transport.
Front office reception/customer service when needed.
Calling in medications prescriptions for patients per physicians orders, following up with
patient phone calls and requests.
Preparing for O.R. surgery and in office/clinical procedures.
Sterilizing and autoclaving surgical instruments.
Stocking and maintaining and ordering supplies.
Coordinating and scheduling surgeries/ anesthesia, with local clinics, surgery centers and
hospitals.
Coordinate out-patient testing and referrals.
Pre and post-operative instructions, care and education, perform other duties as assigned.
