Oxford Debate: Should Residency Training be Mandatory for Physical Therapists?
DavidTaylor, PT, DPT, GCS
The second annual PTAG Oxford Debate at imPacT 2016 will feature a lively, insightful, heated, and often humorous
debate between two teams. The Oxford Debate is modelled after an 1860 debate at the Oxford University
Museum after Charles Darwin published The Origin of Species. Each team will attempt to persuade you to support
their opinion for a pre-determined motion.Audience members will interact with the panelists and try to sway the
audience through clapping, cheering, and moving from one side of the room to the other to show their support (or
not)! Don’t miss this fun-filled, good-hearted debate. The teams will present the best argument for their side of the
debate, however not all statements made by a speaker necessarily represent the true opinion of that speaker. Join
us for the Oxford Debate and show us “Who you are for?”
