To Whom It May Concern
Ashleigh Ainslie has been a student at Taminmin College from years 7 to 12 spanning the years
2009‐2014. I have been Assistant Principal and Principal during this time and I have had the
pleasure of following her progress closely. Her attendance averaged 95% over her school years.
Academic Merit
Ashleigh was accepted into the elite Taminmin Leading Learner class of 2009 at the
commencement of her high school years. She remained in this program throughout her time at
Taminmin College. Her academic progress has been exceptional as she achieved an A level
average across all year levels. Overall he reports indicate that her behavior was excellent, and
that the effort she placed into her studies was outstanding. She always completed set work in
every year level. Ashleigh was named DUX of her year 7 cohort in 2009 and received Distinctions
in the RIO Tinto Science Competitions. In 2014 Ashleigh was our third top academic achiever in
year 12 with an ATAR of 91.6. At the Graduation Award Ceremony She received an Academic
Excellence Award for Psychology and an Academic Achievement Award for English studies.
Leadership and potential
Ashleigh was a significant leading member of the formal committee in her graduating year. She
made an extensive contribution during her own time to organize numerous fundraising events in
and outside of school. The committee set themselves an exceptionally high standard and raised
over $8,300 ensuring the success of the formal.
In 2012 Ashleigh completed a Certificate I in Hospitality. During this time she participated in the
school fundraiser ‘Red Func’. This event was open to the community and was a three course
dinner that raised funds for premature babies.
Ashleigh has represented the school on interstate trips such as Canberra and Tasmania. She held
herself to a high degree and was commended by her teachers for being a great ambassador to
the school.
Over the time Ashleigh has been at Taminmin I have observed her hard work, dedication and
commitment to her studies. I am sure these traits will lead to success at University and her future
