This document outlines the proposed route and upgrades for the Inland Rail project in Australia. It involves upgrading over 2,000 km of existing track and constructing over 1,700 km of new track to connect Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and other major cities. Key aspects of the project include constructing over 300 km of new track between Narromine and Narrabri to complete a missing link, upgrading over 500 km of existing track along several sections to accommodate double-stacked freight trains, and building over 150 km of new and upgraded dual gauge track in Queensland. The project aims to improve rail freight connectivity across eastern Australia.
