2. We have a
process that delivers
With our process, we:
• Develop the app that your customers need
• Maximize your input and ideas
• Minimize your risks and headaches
• Leverage our knowledge and years of experience in
building award-winning software
3. Our process
• First meeting
• Proposal
• Phase 1: Defining the app
• Phase 2: Developing the app
• Phase 3: Polishing and testing
• Phase 4: Shipping
• Phase 5: Maintaining
• Future versions
4. First Meeting
In our first meeting, we:
• Explore your vision for the app
• Discuss your customers and what they need from an
app
• Learn about solutions you currently offer and how
we can leverage them
• Discuss your competitors, what they offer and what
needs to be done to beat them
• Discuss your timetable and budget
5. Proposal
In our proposal, we:
• Provide clarity at a high level about how the
project will proceed
• Define project vision, scope, timetable, and
budget
• Identify existing technologies we can leverage
• Define new technologies we will build
• Specify everyone’s responsibilities
6. Phase 1:
Defining the app
We work together to plan the app, including:
• App definition statement
• Product feature set
• Paper prototypes
• Data model definition
• Milestones and deliverables
Our goal is for everyone on the team to clearly
understand what we’re building and to minimize
redesign, rework, and surprises
7. Phase 2:
Developing the app
This is where most of the work takes place. We use
established industry practices and technologies
to ensure the project proceeds smoothly:
• Agile methodologies
• Test Driven Development
• Daily scrum (progress meetings)
• Progress reports
• Xcode and Interface Builder
8. Phase 3:
Polishing & Testing
• Work together to ensure your app works as
designed
• Focus on bug fixing and polishing the product so it
looks and feels great
• Polishing and testing an app takes from 33% to 50%
of the total development time!
• Outcome of this step has a huge impact on users’
ratings of the product
9. Phase 4: Shipping
When your app is ready to ship, we will:
• Submit your app to the App Store
• Be the lead contact on any questions or issues
Apple has with the app
• Resolve issues as quickly as possible
• Minimize the amount of time needed to get your
app available in the App Store
10. Phase 5:Maintaining
After your app is shipping on the App Store, we:
• Review issues from your customer support and
quality assurance teams to identify what needs to be
fixed
• Fix bugs found in a timely manner
• Ship maintenance releases to the App Store
• Differentiate bugs from feature requests and
enhancements; feature enhancements will be
addressed in future versions
11. Future Versions
Most apps have a version 1, then a version 2, then a
version 3, and so forth. We can help you:
• Define your release strategy
• Plan future versions based on customer feedback
• Develop future versions
We want to be your ongoing development partner!
