Welcome in Marrakech
Welcome in Marrakech, the red city, the capital of the south of Morocco. A mixture of Berber, Arab and
African culture, definitely modern but without losing its identity. Marrakech, a mythical city, cultural
capital, inspiring artists, modes and events. Marrakech is also a good place to meet, to share knowledge
and build friendship. The organizers are preparing a good scientific program and hoping to make it also an
inspiring opportunity for development of paediatric Hematopoietic Stem Cell transplantation in the
continent.
Aim of the Course
This course is unique opportunity for young physicians and nurses to get the latest developments in
hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) in children and adolescents and an opportunity of
addressing adapted approaches in developing countries. Very few centres of HSCT are in place in Africa and
Arab countries. Keeping with the mission of European Group for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT)
to promote and facilitate access to state-of-the-art and 7877cutting-edge knowledge in blood and marrow
transplantation the course will explore the major issues impacting on HSCT in children and adolescents.
Targeted audience
Many leading paediatric haematologists/oncologists are included among the speakers; the course is
addressed specifically to postgraduate/resident level young physicians and paediatric nurses.
Participation will be limited to 100.
Submitted abstracts will be scored and best abstracts will be prized. Participants presenting selected
abstracts will be awarded with grants covering registration and housing.
Course Structure
Lectures on basic and “hot” topics given by experts for HSCT in children and adolescents are followed by
case discussions.

Targeted audience Many leading paediatric haematologists/oncologists are included among the speakers; the course is addressed specifically to postgraduate/resident level young physicians and paediatric nurses. Participation will be limited to 100. Submitted abstracts will be scored and best abstracts will be prized. Participants presenting selected abstracts will be awarded with grants covering registration and housing. Course Structure Lectures on basic and “hot” topics given by experts for HSCT in children and adolescents are followed by case discussions. Social activity: City tour
