3D printed tanks are being used to repair damaged tanks in the field. A company called Babel3D has developed a portable 3D printer that allows repairs to be done on site, avoiding the need to send tanks back to a factory or depot for repairs. The 3D printed parts can be custom made for each tank's unique damage and installed quickly to return tanks to service faster after taking hits on the battlefield.
