A pot of hot tea
Two cups by the window
Where the sun warms your knees
You pick at the pastry
Of the tart on the tray
I know what you're thinking
We should cherish each day

Autumn leaves gathered in a heap by the brook
Like the pages plucked out from a tired old book
Time has been kind but a moment must end
