2.0 SYSTEM SUMMARY
This section provides a general overview of the system written in non-technical terminology. The summary should
outline the uses of the system in supporting the activities of the user and staff.
2.1 About This application
This portal/web-site is designed to enable/facilitate suppliers to accept Pall's Code of Conduct, confirm their
acceptance of New Conflict Mineral legislation, and identify their Small/Minority Business Status.
Users can generate PDF version of document after it’s submitted and download/save/print the document.
2.2 User Access Levels
There will be 2 different kinds of user roles in the supplier portal –
• SupplierCertificationUser– user with this role will be able to fill/save/submit various certificates on
behalf of the Supplier Company. This role is relevant for Supplier portal application access/use.
• SupplierCertificationReviewer– user with this role will be able to access/generate various reports
available on the portal through Pall-connect.

3.0 GETTING STARTED
3.1 Logging In
When accessing Supplier Portal Application the login screen is displayed. Logging in requires entering an assigned
username (your email) and password (case sensitive). After providing both, click on the “Login” button to enter the
Supplier Portal.

• The “Sign-up” Link (below login button) will enable the user to register to the site. Registration of supplier
company/representative screen will be provided once the user clicks on the “Sign-up” Link.
• Forgot your password? Click here to reset. The link will take you to the password reset screen. Enter your
account email and click “Submit”. The registered user will get an email with notification of new password
for the account. The subject of the email body will be “Pall Corporation - Supplier Portal, Account
Password Reset Notification”. Please keep this email for future reference.
In the event there is registered information is incorrect or was not entered, the application responds with an alert
message (see Figure 1).
There are simple pointers to look after:
• Double check you entered both email and password.
• Email and password are case sensitive

3.1.1 Supplier Company Profile/Supplier Representative profile Creation
If this is the first time a company representative is visiting the portal, s/he will need to register and create a profile
to accessing and submit a certificate. Please click the “Sign Up” link provided on the login screen to register.
Fields marked as (*) are required fields.

On the “Company Representative Profile” creation screen the email entered by user will be the used for login. Once
a new account has been successfully created the user will get an email (on the email used to create account) with
subject "Pall Corporation - Supplier Portal, New Account Creation Notification. Please keep this email saved for
your future reference. Use this email/password to login to supplier portal.
Once logged in Supplier Portal Application the application landing page is loaded.

On the left hand side of screen, the user will see links for various options.
Available links–
• Code Of Conduct (required for all suppliers)
• Conflict Mineral Usage.
• Small/Minority Business Questionnaire (For US suppliers only)
• Supplier Portal User Manual
• Profile

Click on “Supplier Portal User Manual” link will open the application’s user manual as a PDF document, for
reference.

On the User Manual screen, the user can opt to download and save the manual for future reference..
User can click the browser “back” button to return to the previous screen.
By selecting a specific certificate link on the landing page, the user can edit and save the certificate unlimited times,
before submitting. “Submit” is allowed only once for a certificate.
Please be mindful of clicking “Submit” button before all entries are filled correctly!
It’s suggested that the user –
• clicks “Save” when filling certificate for the first time and fill-out all necessary entries.
• reviews the recently filled/saved certificate to ensure all entries are correct before clicking the submit
button.
Once a certificate is submitted -
• The user can only view the details submitted before, but no further changes will be allowed.
• A unique reference # (numeric value) will be generated for the submitted certificate, and the user will be
notified of a reference # for the submitted certificate. This reference # can be used for future reference of a
specific certificate.
The user can get out of specific screen anytime (without making any change to screen) by clicking “cancel” button.
This will redirect to the application landing page.
3.2 Code of Conduct *required for all suppliers
The Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition® (EICC®) Code of Conduct establishes standards to ensure that
working conditions in the electronics industry supply chain are safe, that workers are treated with respect and
dignity, and that business operations are environmentally responsible and conducted ethically.
To adopt the Code and become a participant (“Participant”) a business shall declare its support for the Code, and
actively pursue conformance to the Code and its standards in accordance with a management system as herein.
Code of Conduct certificate is required to be all suppliers. Pall currently provides the “Code of Conduct” in
English. Pall will retain only one copy of “Code of Conduct” certificate per supplier company account.
The “Code of Conduct” link directs to the user to the Code of Conduct Certificate screen (see figure 4, 5)

Various sections are on the screen – Labor, Health and Safety, Environmental, Ethics, Management Systems.
Please read the terms and conditions mentioned under each section before selecting to accept terms and conditions
and save/submit.
3.2.1 Code of Conduct Certificate

3.2.2 Code of Conduct (save)
Once the certificate is saved, the “Code of Conduct” link will present the certificate screen with notification of the
last date the certificate was saved. Changes may be made, as well as saving and/or submitting the certificate.

3.2.3 Code of Conduct (submit)
If a supplier is not in a position to select “Yes” for terms and conditions for “Code of Conduct” certificate, the
supplier needs to get in contact with appropriate Pall Personnel. Once the certificate is submitted a submit
confirmation screen will appear.

Click on the “Generate PDF” button to download/save/print a recently submitted certificate.
Please note that “Generate PDF” button is provided on the Submit Confirmation screen as well as Submitted
Certificates screen. “Cancel” and “Generate PDF” buttons are available for all submitted certificates.
Further click of “Code of Conduct” link will present the certificate screen with notification of the date a certificate
was submitted and the corresponding Reference Number. View the certificate or select Cancel to return to the
landing page. Select “Generate PDF” to download a pdf of a submitted certificate.

3.2.4 Code of Conduct (Generate PDF)
Once “Generate PDF” is selected a pdf version of the submitted certificate will be available to save or print.

3.3 Small/Minority Business Questionnaire (required for US suppliers only)
As a government contractor/subcontractor, Pall Aeropower Corporation is required to obtain certain
commitments/information from US suppliers of goods and services.
Small/Minority Business Questionnaire link takes user to Minority Status Certificate screen (see figure).
User should select one specific business type category from various categories provided (Indian American
Business/Large Business/Small Business/Women Owned Business etc.).
All required fields are mentioned with an (*). Please read the terms and conditions and fill out the certificate before
save/submit.
3.3.1 Small/Minority Business Questionnaire (create)

3.3.2 Small/Minority Business Questionnaire (save)
Once the certificate is saved, a “Minority Status” link will appear on the certificate screen with notification of the
last date a certificate was saved by user. Make changes as necessary and Save or Submit the certificate

3.3.3 Small/Minority Business Questionnaire (submit)
Once the certificate is submitted a submit confirmation screen will appear.

NOTE: The “Generate PDF” button is provided on submit confirmation screen, as well as on the submitted
certificates screen. Simply scroll down on the screen, and both “Cancel” and “Generate PDF” buttons are available
to generate the document.
Further click of “Minority Status” link will present the certificate screen with notification of the date a certificate
was submitted and the corresponding reference Number. Options are to view the certificate or cancel to go back to
landing page.

3.3.4 Small/Minority Business Questionnaire (Generate PDF)
Once user clicks on “Generate PDF” button to download/save/print recently submitted certificate the pdf version of
the submitted certificate will appear. Options are to download, save, or print the generated document.

3.4 Conflict Mineral Usage
Pall Corporation uses this certification to collect sourcing information from its Suppliers on tin, tantalum, tungsten
and gold used in products.
Completing and submitting this certificate will consists of combination of 4 screens.
• Conflict Free Sourcing Initiative
• Conflict Mineral Reporting Template
• Product Listing
• Smelter Listing
“Conflict Free Sourcing Initiative” and “Conflict Mineral reporting Template” will always be available to the user.
Screens “Product Listing” and “Smelter Listing” will depend on selections on the “Conflict Mineral Reporting
Template” screen.
3.4.1 Conflict Free Sourcing Initiative
The “Conflict Mineral Usage” link routes to the Conflict Free Sourcing Initiative screen (see figure 12, 13). All
required fields are mentioned with an (*). Please read the Terms and Conditions and make appropriate selection to
question 1, 2 before clicking next.

3.4.2 Conflict Mineral Reporting Template
Once the user selects “Next” on the Conflict Free Sourcing Initiative screen the information that was entered is
saved. The user is directed to the Conflict Mineral Reporting Template Screen (Figure 14).
There are 4 selections available for Declaration Scope Levels –
 Company
 Division
 Product Category
 Product
Selecting “Product Level” for Declaration Scope will result in the Product Listing screen to be presented to be
completed.

There are 6 mineral-specific questions with requiring an answer for tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold used in products.
There are 9 non-mineral/certificate specific questions. *Answers are required for all of these questions.
If “yes” is selected for any mineral (in mineral specific question 5 and 6), the Standard Smelter List screen will
appear on subsequent clicks of the “Next” button, before the ability to Save the information entered, and/or
submitting the certificate.

3.4.3 Product Listing
If “Product Level” was selected for the Declaration Scope (on Conflict Mineral Reporting Template), the Product
Listing screen will need to be completed.
List and provide details for all Pall-supplied products on behalf of user’s company (Figure 15). Fill out as many
products as necessary by clicking “Add Rows”.
If smelter information has not been provided (i.e. “no” selected for each metal on questions 5 or 6 in the Conflict
Mineral reporting template screen), the Product Listing screen will be the final screen with Save and Submit buttons
provided. Save or Submit the certificate at this point.
If smelter information was provided (i.e. “yes” was selected for any metal for question 5 or 6 on Conflict Mineral
reporting template screen), the Smelter Listing screen will be the next screen. The Product Screen will provide
“Next” and “Cancel” buttons. Click “Next” to Save and be directed user to Smelter Listing screen.

3.4.4 Smelter Listing
“Yes” for question 5 or 6 on the “Conflict Mineral reporting template” screen advances the user to the Smelter
Listing screen for completion. Select the metal (metal/s for which user has answered “yes” on question 5 or 6 on
Conflict Mineral reporting template screen). A “Smelter Reference List” will then be populated with the Standard
Smelter listings available. User can select the applicable smelter from the list provided.
If a specific smelter is not found in the list provided, s/he can fill out all information for
Standard Smelter Name/country/ address in specific columns, without selecting any smelter from smelter drop-down
(Smelter Reference List).
Complete as many smelter records as needed by clicking “Add Rows”, and Save or Submit the certificate at this
point.

3.4.5 Conflict Mineral Usage (save)
Once the certificate is saved, further click of the Conflict Mineral Usage link will present the certificate screen with
notification of last date certificate was saved by user. Make changes and Save or Submit the certificate

3.4.6 Conflict Mineral Usage (Submit)
Once the certificate is submitted, User will get a submit confirmation screen, such as –

Please note that “Generate PDF” button is provided on submit confirmation screen as well as on the submitted
certificates screen itself. Scroll down on the screen. Both “cancel” and “Generate PDF” buttons are available for all
submitted certificates to generate the document(s).
Further click of the Conflict Mineral Usage link will present the Certificate screen with notification of the date
certificate was submitted and the certificate reference #. A Certificate Reference # is a unique numeric value
assigned to a certificate once it is submitted. View the certificate or click Cancel to return to the landing page.

3.4.7 Conflict Mineral Usage (generate PDF)
Once the “Generate PDF” button is selected, download, save, or print a submitted certificate. The pdf version of the
submitted certificate is available on the Submit screen.

3.5 Log Out
Close the browser to log out from the session. No separate log out link is provided at this point.
3.6 Reporting
The following Reporting features are available –
• Generate and review reports of past save/submission of various certificates. This feature is available via
“Certificate report” link on landing page.
• Generate a Certificate Report for all Conflict Mineral Certificates for suppliers, who have answered “yes”
for any smelter list related question. This is available via the Certificate Report with Smelters link on the
landing page.
• Generate and download Registered Users of the Supplier Portal. This is available via the User Report link
on the landing page.
These reporting features will be removed from supplier portal and will be made available only with Pall Connect
Intranet site in future.
*Reporting features are accessible only to users with role “Supplier Certification Reviewer”. The role can be granted
only to Pall Employees once a request has been made for business in this regard.

  • 4. User’s Manual Page 3 2.0 SYSTEM SUMMARY This section provides a general overview of the system written in non-technical terminology. The summary should outline the uses of the system in supporting the activities of the user and staff. 2.1 About This application This portal/web-site is designed to enable/facilitate suppliers to accept Pall's Code of Conduct, confirm their acceptance of New Conflict Mineral legislation, and identify their Small/Minority Business Status. Users can generate PDF version of document after it’s submitted and download/save/print the document. 2.2 User Access Levels There will be 2 different kinds of user roles in the supplier portal – • SupplierCertificationUser– user with this role will be able to fill/save/submit various certificates on behalf of the Supplier Company. This role is relevant for Supplier portal application access/use. • SupplierCertificationReviewer– user with this role will be able to access/generate various reports available on the portal through Pall-connect.
  • 5. User’s Manual Page 4 3.0 GETTING STARTED 3.1 Logging In When accessing Supplier Portal Application the login screen is displayed. Logging in requires entering an assigned username (your email) and password (case sensitive). After providing both, click on the “Login” button to enter the Supplier Portal. Figure: login screen. • The “Sign-up” Link (below login button) will enable the user to register to the site. Registration of supplier company/representative screen will be provided once the user clicks on the “Sign-up” Link. • Forgot your password? Click here to reset. The link will take you to the password reset screen. Enter your account email and click “Submit”. The registered user will get an email with notification of new password for the account. The subject of the email body will be “Pall Corporation - Supplier Portal, Account Password Reset Notification”. Please keep this email for future reference. In the event there is registered information is incorrect or was not entered, the application responds with an alert message (see Figure 1). There are simple pointers to look after: • Double check you entered both email and password. • Email and password are case sensitive Figure: Alert message from login screen.

User’s Manual Page 5 3.1.1 Supplier Company Profile/Supplier Representative profile Creation If this is the first time a company representative is visiting the portal, s/he will need to register and create a profile to accessing and submit a certificate. Please click the “Sign Up” link provided on the login screen to register. Fields marked as (*) are required fields. Figure: Company profile creation screen. Figure: Company Representative Profile creation screen. On the “Company Representative Profile” creation screen the email entered by user will be the used for login. Once a new account has been successfully created the user will get an email (on the email used to create account) with subject "Pall Corporation - Supplier Portal, New Account Creation Notification. Please keep this email saved for your future reference. Use this email/password to login to supplier portal. Once logged in Supplier Portal Application the application landing page is loaded. Figure: Supplier Portal landing page. On the left hand side of screen, the user will see links for various options.   • 7. User’s Manual Page 6 Click on “Supplier Portal User Manual” link will open the application’s user manual as a PDF document, for reference. Figure: User manual Screen. On the User Manual screen, the user can opt to download and save the manual for future reference.. User can click the browser “back” button to return to the previous screen. By selecting a specific certificate link on the landing page, the user can edit and save the certificate unlimited times, before submitting. “Submit” is allowed only once for a certificate. Please be mindful of clicking “Submit” button before all entries are filled correctly! It’s suggested that the user – • clicks “Save” when filling certificate for the first time and fill-out all necessary entries. • reviews the recently filled/saved certificate to ensure all entries are correct before clicking the submit button. Once a certificate is submitted - • The user can only view the details submitted before, but no further changes will be allowed. • A unique reference # (numeric value) will be generated for the submitted certificate, and the user will be notified of a reference # for the submitted certificate. This reference # can be used for future reference of a specific certificate. The user can get out of specific screen anytime (without making any change to screen) by clicking “cancel” button. This will redirect to the application landing page. 3.2 Code of Conduct *required for all suppliers The Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition® (EICC®) Code of Conduct establishes standards to ensure that working conditions in the electronics industry supply chain are safe, that workers are treated with respect and dignity, and that business operations are environmentally responsible and conducted ethically. To adopt the Code and become a participant (“Participant”) a business shall declare its support for the Code, and actively pursue conformance to the Code and its standards in accordance with a management system as herein. Code of Conduct certificate is required to be all suppliers. Pall currently provides the “Code of Conduct” in English. Pall will retain only one copy of “Code of Conduct” certificate per supplier company account. The “Code of Conduct” link directs to the user to the Code of Conduct Certificate screen (see figure 4, 5)
  • 8. User’s Manual Page 7 Various sections are on the screen – Labor, Health and Safety, Environmental, Ethics, Management Systems. Please read the terms and conditions mentioned under each section before selecting to accept terms and conditions and save/submit. 3.2.1 Code of Conduct Certificate Figure: Code of Conduct Screen Figure: Code of Conduct Certificate Screen. 3.2.2 Code of Conduct (save) Once the certificate is saved, the “Code of Conduct” link will present the certificate screen with notification of the last date the certificate was saved. User’s Manual Page 8 3.2.3 Code of Conduct (submit) If a supplier is not in a position to select “Yes” for terms and conditions for “Code of Conduct” certificate, the supplier needs to get in contact with appropriate Pall Personnel. Once the certificate is submitted a submit confirmation screen will appear. Figure: Submit Confirmation Screen. Click on the “Generate PDF” button to download/save/print a recently submitted certificate. Please note that “Generate PDF” button is provided on the Submit Confirmation screen as well as Submitted Certificates screen. “Cancel” and “Generate PDF” buttons are available for all submitted certificates. Further click of “Code of Conduct” link will present the certificate screen with notification of the date a certificate was submitted and the corresponding Reference Number. View the certificate or select Cancel to return to the landing page. Select “Generate PDF” to download a pdf of a submitted certificate. Figure: Code of Conduct Certificate Screen (submitted). 3.2.4 Code of Conduct (Generate PDF) Once “Generate PDF” is selected a pdf version of the submitted certificate will be available to save or print. User’s Manual Page 9 3.3 Small/Minority Business Questionnaire (required for US suppliers only) As a government contractor/subcontractor, Pall Aeropower Corporation is required to obtain certain commitments/information from US suppliers of goods and services. Small/Minority Business Questionnaire link takes user to Minority Status Certificate screen (see figure). User should select one specific business type category from various categories provided (Indian American Business/Large Business/Small Business/Women Owned Business etc.). All required fields are mentioned with an (*). Please read the terms and conditions and fill out the certificate before save/submit. 3.3.1 Small/Minority Business Questionnaire (create) Figure: Small/Minority Business Questionnaire Screen (create). Figure: Small/Minority Business Questionnaire Screen. 3.3.2 Small/Minority Business Questionnaire (save) Once the certificate is saved, a “Minority Status” link will appear on the certificate screen with notification of the last date a certificate was saved by user.   • 11. User’s Manual Page 10 3.3.3 Small/Minority Business Questionnaire (submit) Once the certificate is submitted a submit confirmation screen will appear. Figure: Submit Confirmation Screen. NOTE: The “Generate PDF” button is provided on submit confirmation screen, as well as on the submitted certificates screen. Simply scroll down on the screen, and both “Cancel” and “Generate PDF” buttons are available to generate the document. Further click of “Minority Status” link will present the certificate screen with notification of the date a certificate was submitted and the corresponding reference Number. Options are to view the certificate or cancel to go back to landing page. Figure: Minority Status Screen (submitted). 3.3.4 Small/Minority Business Questionnaire (Generate PDF) Once user clicks on “Generate PDF” button to download/save/print recently submitted certificate the pdf version of the submitted certificate will appear. User’s Manual Page 11 3.4 Conflict Mineral Usage Pall Corporation uses this certification to collect sourcing information from its Suppliers on tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold used in products. Completing and submitting this certificate will consists of combination of 4 screens. • Conflict Free Sourcing Initiative • Conflict Mineral Reporting Template • Product Listing • Smelter Listing “Conflict Free Sourcing Initiative” and “Conflict Mineral reporting Template” will always be available to the user. Screens “Product Listing” and “Smelter Listing” will depend on selections on the “Conflict Mineral Reporting Template” screen. 3.4.1 Conflict Free Sourcing Initiative The “Conflict Mineral Usage” link routes to the Conflict Free Sourcing Initiative screen (see figure 12, 13). All required fields are mentioned with an (*). Please read the Terms and Conditions and make appropriate selection to question 1, 2 before clicking next. Figure: Conflict Free Sourcing Initiative screen 3.4.2 Conflict Mineral Reporting Template Once the user selects “Next” on the Conflict Free Sourcing Initiative screen the information that was entered is saved. The user is directed to the Conflict Mineral Reporting Template Screen (Figure 14). There are 4 selections available for Declaration Scope Levels –  Company  Division  Product Category  Product Selecting “Product Level” for Declaration Scope will result in the Product Listing screen to be presented to be completed.
  • 13. User’s Manual Page 12 There are 6 mineral-specific questions with requiring an answer for tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold used in products. There are 9 non-mineral/certificate specific questions. *Answers are required for all of these questions. If “yes” is selected for any mineral (in mineral specific question 5 and 6), the Standard Smelter List screen will appear on subsequent clicks of the “Next” button, before the ability to Save the information entered, and/or submitting the certificate. Figure: Conflict Mineral reporting Template screen. 3.4.3 Product Listing If “Product Level” was selected for the Declaration Scope (on Conflict Mineral Reporting Template), the Product Listing screen will need to be completed. List and provide details for all Pall-supplied products on behalf of user’s company (Figure 15). Fill out as many products as necessary by clicking “Add Rows”. If smelter information has not been provided (i.e. “no” selected for each metal on questions 5 or 6 in the Conflict Mineral reporting template screen), the Product Listing screen will be the final screen with Save and Submit buttons provided. Save or Submit the certificate at this point. If smelter information was provided (i.e. “yes” was selected for any metal for question 5 or 6 on Conflict Mineral reporting template screen), the Smelter Listing screen will be the next screen. The Product Screen will provide “Next” and “Cancel” buttons. Click “Next” to Save and be directed user to Smelter Listing screen. Figure: Product Listing Screen. 3.4.4 Smelter Listing “Yes” for question 5 or 6 on the “Conflict Mineral reporting template” screen advances the user to the Smelter Listing screen for completion. Select the metal (metal/s for which user has answered “yes” on question 5 or 6 on Conflict Mineral reporting template screen). A “Smelter Reference List” will then be populated with the Standard Smelter listings available. User can select the applicable smelter from the list provided. If a specific smelter is not found in the list provided, s/he can fill out all information for Standard Smelter Name/country/ address in specific columns, without selecting any smelter from smelter drop-down (Smelter Reference List). Complete as many smelter records as needed by clicking “Add Rows”, and Save or Submit the certificate at this point.

User’s Manual Page 13 Figure: Smelter Listing Screen. 3.4.5 Conflict Mineral Usage (save) Once the certificate is saved, further click of the Conflict Mineral Usage link will present the certificate screen with notification of last date certificate was saved by user. User’s Manual Page 14 3.4.6 Conflict Mineral Usage (Submit) Once the certificate is submitted, User will get a submit confirmation screen, such as – Figure: Conflict Mineral Usage certificate, submit confirmation screen. Please note that “Generate PDF” button is provided on submit confirmation screen as well as on the submitted certificates screen itself. Scroll down on the screen. Both “cancel” and “Generate PDF” buttons are available for all submitted certificates to generate the document(s). Further click of the Conflict Mineral Usage link will present the Certificate screen with notification of the date certificate was submitted and the certificate reference #. A Certificate Reference # is a unique numeric value assigned to a certificate once it is submitted. View the certificate or click Cancel to return to the landing page.   • 16. User’s Manual Page 15 3.4.7 Conflict Mineral Usage (generate PDF) Once the “Generate PDF” button is selected, download, save, or print a submitted certificate. The pdf version of the submitted certificate is available on the Submit screen. Figure: Conflict Mineral Usage, generated pdf screen. 3.5 Log Out Close the browser to log out from the session. No separate log out link is provided at this point. 3.6 Reporting The following Reporting features are available – • Generate and review reports of past save/submission of various certificates. This feature is available via “Certificate report” link on landing page. • Generate a Certificate Report for all Conflict Mineral Certificates for suppliers, who have answered “yes” for any smelter list related question. This is available via the Certificate Report with Smelters link on the landing page. • Generate and download Registered Users of the Supplier Portal. This is available via the User Report link on the landing page. These reporting features will be removed from supplier portal and will be made available only with Pall Connect Intranet site in future. *Reporting features are accessible only to users with role “Supplier Certification Reviewer”. The role can be granted only to Pall Employees once a request has been made for business in this regard.
