The Point has a sit-down dinner
capacity for up to 1000 guests – or
840 with a dance floor. Conference
and exhibition capacity is 1200.
The space is sub-divisible into three
areas, ideal for large events that
need separate rooms or smaller
functions. The Point can be easily
combined with our Pavilion via
the bridge link or for larger events
that need extra break-out space.

Combining the finest traditions
of English cricket with modern,
state-of-the-art hospitality,
the award-winning Pavilion –
alongside The Point – has made
Emirates Old Trafford a leading
events and hospitality venue in
the North West. Originally built in
1857, the Pavilion underwent an
intensive £7.5m redevelopment
that was completed in 2013.
The venue is able to accommodate
up to 700 guests across the
eight suites and nine Executive
Boxes we have to offer. With a
footbridge linking The Point to
the Pavilion, delegates have easy
access to breakout rooms and
extra syndicate spaces, making
the venue unique. Our suites are
completely flexible, and can be
adapted to your every need.

At the heart of the building, the Members’ Suite is the most versatile
and dynamic room at Emirates Old Trafford. Combining the heritage,
history and atmosphere of Lancashire’s most famous cricket pavilion
with a state-of-the-art, modern and versatile event space, the Members’
Suite is the perfect place for conferences, dinners, exhibitions and
wedding receptions.
Take a stroll outside onto the terrace, and feel the atmosphere of
150 years of first-class cricket history.
The Members’ Suite can cater for up to 200 guests for a dinner dance,
and incorporates a spacious and comfortable dining area alongside a
vast dancefloor or entertainment space. The suite is illuminated with
glowing natural daylight and has spectacular views of the famous
cricket pitch.
The suite also includes a reception area and two wing rooms – The
Library and The Honours – which can be included or sectioned off
as additional breakout areas.
The Library can accommodate 70 Theatre style and The Honours
50 Theatre style.
If your meeting, conference or party is a little smaller, then look no
further. With a capacity of up to 85 for a drinks reception the Williams
BMW Suite is an open space that is beautifully lit by tremendous
views of the cricket pitch, and is perfect for impressing your guests
with a mixture of glamour and comfort. The suite hosts a fully stocked
bar and attached balcony, and is a flexible and adaptable space for a
variety of events. The Princes Trust found the Williams BMW Suite to
be an excellent room to host a recent training session whilst the
Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce have found it perfect for
breakfast meetings.

Formally the home team dressing room, the walls are lined with iconic
cricket scene images so you can feel the charm of the Club as you enjoy
your event. Much like the Williams BMW Suite, the Brown Shipley Club
Suite is best suited for small events and meetings or pre-dinner drinks.
Maxima Training and Development recently held a training day here for
32 delegates, embracing the views of the pitch whilst delivering bespoke
coaching. Looking for an intimate setting for hospitality? Hosting
remarkable views of the pitch and natural daylight the Brown Shipley
Club Suite truly is an outstanding space to wow your guests.
The 1864 Suite is a vibrant, open space that is ideal for conferences,
dinners, drinks receptions, networking events or parties with a closer,
more relaxed feel. Thames TV recently used the suite as a green room
for the X Factor judges! Boasting its own private bar, a seated balcony
and fantastic views of the pitch, the suite can be tailored down to the
finest of detail. Pin-spotting and LED lighting are available if you wish
to elegantly illuminate your event. With memories of Ian Botham,
Shane Warne and Andrew ‘Fred’ Flintoff all once toasting success within
these walls, the 1864 Suite is the perfect place to sit back, unwind and
let us entertain you and your guests. If you are looking for extra space,
the 1864 Suite features the 1864 Lounge, a versatile area which can be
used as an office or break out area.

Situated on the third floor of the Pavilion, the Boardroom hosts fantastic
panoramic views of the city centre, the Pennines, and of course the
Emirates Old Trafford pitch. Comfortably seating up to 24 guests, and
with its large plasma screen, attached balcony and en-suite bar, it is
the perfect place to inspire your team or delegates. If you are looking
for a suite to network with like-minded individuals, discuss and debate
industry issues whilst enjoying a spot of lunch, we can cater for you.
It’s no surprise that the Meeting Industry Association have opted to
host an executive business lunch here.
The Executive Boxes are a dynamic, modern and unique meeting space.
The walls are adorned with memorabilia from classic cricketing
moments at Old Trafford, each Executive Box includes a private balcony

Re-live the scene of England’s 2013 Ashes triumph, where the players
battled the Aussies for five days.
Modern in design, the Players’ Lounge is a versatile suite that can
accommodate groups of up to 60. While suitable for holding events
on its own, this space can also be successfully combined with the
Press Gallery for larger events. BASIC a Manchester charity, recently
undertook our custom Boardroom and bowling package here, combining
conference facilities in the morning with a session in the Indoor Cricket
Centre in the afternoon. A perfect solution for a team building day!
Ideal for larger meetings, presentations and seminars, the suite also
boasts a built in LCD projector, 42 plasma screen and stunning views
of the Emirates Old Trafford wicket.
Located behind the Press Gallery, the Press Lounge is the perfect space
to hold your next seminar, product launch or training day. Autotrader
recently utilised the suite for a training and demonstration session as
part of their staff annual conference. Situated in the heart of the
building, the Press Lounge comfortably sits up to 100 people, and is
fitted with plasma screens, an overhead projector and catering facilities.
The Press Lounge is highly customisable, and can be partitioned to
create two smaller spaces. A well-lit and open space, it is ideal for a
wide range of business activities.

globe reporting on Lancashire and England matches, it becomes
the perfect place for lectures, seminars and large scale meetings.
The auditorium is able to fit over 100 guests upon its tiered rows, and
has an enormous panoramic view of the pitch — considered one of
the best in cricket.
And if the stunning view is too much of a distraction from the speaker,
the gallery offers full-blackout blinds to ensure focus and attention.
The Press Gallery is fitted with large plasma screens and power sockets
at each desk space.

Lancashire greats turned commentators Michael Atherton and David
Lloyd? Situated on the third floor of the AJ Bell Players Media
Centre, the intimate commentary studios are the perfect setting for
smaller meetings. Alternatively, these can be used as breakout rooms
in conjunction with a larger function. Also ideal for interviews and

the Green Room is a versatile addition to large events, seminars and

space? Perfect for both preparation and debriefing, the Green Room
gives your important speakers and guests privacy and comfort, and a
chance to gather their thoughts. With a number of soft couches,

delegates, the Indoor Cricket Centre
has the flexibility to cover a wide
range of events. It’s no surprise that
Fisher Scientific recently hosted
a conference for 600 delegates
here. Completely customisable, the
Indoor Cricket Centre is ideal for
exhibitions, conferences, seminars,
and workshops. The possibilities
are endless, adding to the versatility
of Emirates Old Trafford.

Just a moment’s walk around the ground from The Point, the Indoor
Cricket Centre can be successfully combined with our other facilities for
large events. Planning an away day or team building activity? Combine
conferencing with cricket coaching and make use of a coaching session
led by fully ECB qualified staff. You will be guaranteed a memorable
team building day!
The Centre also has a number of extra rooms attached that are ideal
for breakout space, and can be fully catered for by our head chef and
his excellent team. Our Networks Lounge is located on the mezzanine
above the main space, and works well as an aside area for larger events.

We have vast external space surrounding the ground which is available
if you are looking for extra space to accompany your event.
From hot food stalls and marquees at the Ashes to queuing facilities
for the Star Wars and X factor auditions, we have outdoor space for
you. Located at the entrance from Brian Statham Way we have our
very own Lightning Bar. Open for every cricket game and before every
Manchester United home game you can enjoy pre-match food, drinks
and build up within the ground.
Love live music? From Oasis and Muse to Take That, Emirates Old
Trafford has not only hosted the biggest superstars in the business
but created memorable concert experiences for spectators worldwide.
Refusing to rest on nostalgia, Emirates Old Trafford is ready for a new
era of live entertainment. The hallowed turf can transform from a
world famous sporting arena into a show stopping concert venue for
up to 55,000 spectators.

Our catering is everything you would expect, fresh, sustainable and
innovative (not to mention delicious!), with the best quality locally-
sourced ingredients used wherever possible. Think Sea Bass fillet with
sizzled ginger and garlic, slow roasted Beef with wild mushroom and
shallot confit or white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake to get
your taste buds tingling! Our head chef Nic Ashurst is renowned for
creating inspirational and contemporary menus.
Whilst The Point has a capacity for a sit-down dinner for up to 1,000
people, we are able to cater for many types of events both large
and small: corporate events, award ceremonies, private functions.
The Pavilion can cater for up to 700 guests over a variety of rooms.
So whether you are after a wedding breakfast, simple snacks or a
three-course meal we have options for you. We aim to add to our
customers’ enjoyment by providing a friendly, professional service.
Clients such as Adidas, Kellogg’s and Google have recently enjoyed
our high quality catering.

We are very committed to being Green and our recent development
plans have incorporated eco-friendly features. The design and build
specification of The Point was developed by the internationally-
acclaimed architects BDP in order to place sustainability/environmental
awareness at its very core. We believe that The Point is one of the
‘greenest’ event facilities in the North West. This has been recognised

Managing our social impact
We are dedicated to supporting the local economy. Built into our
purchasing policy is a clause which actively encourages local
companies to compete in the purchasing process. Locally based
AJ Bell is one of our official partners. Significant amounts of our food
purchasing is done through local companies. We have also established
a herb garden in the grounds for the kitchen to use on a daily basis.
Community engagement
We have an agreement with Stretford High School to form a 20-year
partnership as part of the development of the area, to include work
placements, mentoring, input into the curriculum. The Club’s official
charity partner is The LCCC Foundation who are committed to
community projects. The LCCC Foundation has worked in partnership
with Trafford College, Job Centre Plus, Trafford Council and the National
Careers Service, highlighting our commitment to social responsibility.

Metrolink Tram Services
A regular service operates from Bury in North Manchester, Altrincham
(South Manchester) and from Central Manchester — with connecting
services to Salford Quays, Media City and Eccles (change at Cornbrook
station) and to Chorlton (on the new South Manchester line — change
at Trafford Bar).
Old Trafford Metrolink stop is on the Manchester-Altrincham line,
catch the tram service for Altrincham and alight at the Old Trafford
stop which is directly outside Emirates Old Trafford.

Rail Services
Inter City and local services operate to both Manchester Piccadilly and
Manchester Victoria stations. Each station is linked to the Metrolink.
Bus Services

Bus services run near to the cricket ground, setting down at Chester
Road (with the junction of Warwick Road, a walk of approx five minutes),
or on Talbot Road opposite Emirates Old Trafford.
