Things You Get From An MBA Degree
Introduction:
Participating in student clubs, which are well-organized organizations run by students for students, is
an important aspect of the MBA experience since it allows you to extend your network, connect with
career possibilities, and get hands-on leadership experience outside of the classroom.
In contrast to typical undergraduate clubs and societies, which concentrate on social and recreational
activities, MBA clubs give students the chance to plan, deliver, and take advantage of a program of
professional activities including networking, guest talks, skills sharing, company visits, conferences,
and recruitment events.
Studying at a top-tier business school offers a variety of advantages, such as access to contacts in a
variety of high-profile industries and some of the most vibrant and well-connected MBA clubs.

Three MBA students regarding their involvement in business school clubs were interviewed by
TopMBA.
You Get An Opportunity To Put Your Leadership To Test
Bernice Lee knew she wanted to lead the HEC Retail & Luxury Club two years before she started her
MBA at HEC Paris. Bernice, who recently earned her MBA, can attest that running the club was the
program's best experience.
"Running the HEC Retail & Luxury Club was a fantastic chance for me to motivate, instruct, and work
with my classmates. It forced me to realise my own leadership ability and to take charge of a genuine
project that my cohort also depended on for their own experiences.
"In my capacity as president, I devised a schedule of occasions and pursuits that went beyond merely
networking. The club enabled me to develop a vision and purpose, go out and generate possibilities in
my chosen sector, and do so with the support of my institution's agency and brand name.
She remarked, "It was challenging work, but a highly gratifying one that advanced my leadership
abilities, introduced me to numerous business connections, and provided me important tasks to
accomplish."
Not only Bernice places such a premium on club involvement.
You Develop Strong Network with Industry Folks
Participating in MBA clubs has given Alliance Manchester Business School student Aishwarya Shinde
access to a much wider network of alumni who work for well-known firms all across the world.
Aishwarya leads the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) Club at Alliance Manchester
and belongs to the Consulting Club. "I've formed fantastic ties with graduates who are now amazing
mentors to me," she remarked. They have assisted me in preparing for my internship interviews and
have been me advice on how to make the most of my MBA.
As the TMT Club's president, Aishwarya assists her classmates in understanding technology to
improve their learning while enrolled in the MBA programme. She can create a strategy to best serve
the cohort by assessing the skill sets and support that are required.
Aishwarya is developing as a leader in her field because to her aptitude for recognising what her team
needs from their collective experience. I've discovered what it takes to be a tech leader in a diverse
environment, the woman remarked.
"The cohort and I ultimately mastered the skill of teaching tech solutions to people with who have no
prior experience with technology. When I initially started, many technological ideas were foreign to
the cohort. It taught me how to express things clearly and simply, which is a genuinely valuable skill.
Take control of your career
At the Indian School of Business, where Subhankar Agrawal is finishing his MBA, he participates in a
number of groups in addition to his coursework, including the Consulting Club and the Marketing Club.
To better understand the type of work he wishes to pursue, Subhankar joined the clubs that were
available. The ability to learn more quickly about the position and industry you're interested in is, in
his opinion, the most crucial benefit of being actively involved in a club.
The clubs take the lead in setting up chances for peer learning and sharing study materials and life
lessons. It aids in giving you a head start on industry knowledge that is useful during job interviews.
With the help of the business school, Subhankar is applying the concepts he is learning in the
classroom to his work as Marketing and Communications Coordinator for the Net Impact Club.
"The job has allowed me to put the theoretical concepts we study in class into practise," he claimed.
My understanding of the trends, practices, and future of the industry I want to work in has improved
as a result of this.
