2. EXPERIENCE
Founder & Director, Advancement of Civilization Effort 05/2012-07/2016
Advancement of Civilization Effort (ACE) is a nonprofit that was founded in 2012 to provide a practical
conscientious response to artificial intelligence, machine learning, and transhumanism. These cutting-
edge technologies are providing many new opportunities for mankind, but they also come with several
ethical concerns and responsibilities, of which the intention of ACE is to generate solutions.
• Project Namaste: R&D for prototypes using machine learning, neural networks, deep learning,
artificial intelligence, using TensorFlow and Python. Initiated both experimentation and the design
of our own devices and software.
• Mission Entangle: Community outreach via ACE Live (video webcast), website, seminars, Limitless
Newsletter, social media, blogs, Limitless School (workshops, classes)
Strategist/Consultant, ACE ConneXion 11/2013-04/2016
ACE ConneXion is business consulting group providing clients with human resources, research &
analysis, digital strategy, SEO, text mining, financial & administrative solutions, and content writing.
• Helped the agency develop its business plan, designed and developed its web site, and provided a
variety of services to clients as a consultant.
Physics Workshop Coordinator, “Physiscope”, University of Geneva 10/2010-06/2011
Physiscope is a workshop animated by physics students at the University of Geneva that is open to the
general public to relay the message “science is fun and accessible” and to recruit future university
science students.
• Designed, coordinated and presented spectacular science experiments to elementary students on
field trips and occasionally at special events.
• Participated in the Europhysics Fun conference in Karkiv, Ukraine to exchange techniques and to
generate new methodologies with the European network of scientific outreach organizations.
CERN Summer Intern, Center for European Nuclear Research (CERN) 07/2010-09/2010
• Implemented techniques of big data while simulating the reconstruction of top quarks from
experimentally observable interactions at the Large Hadron Collider using C++, ROOT, and Python.
• Analyzed simulations to extract data-driven results and then compared with experimental statistics
to evaluate the efficiency of the methods used to identify top quarks.
Physics Lab Monitor, University of Geneva 08/2009-12/2009
• Assisted in running lab classes for medicine, pharmacy, and fitness education majors.
• Presented slide shows to on the theory and methods for the experiments to be performed.
• Preparation and supervision of experiments, ensuring understanding of the processes involved,
troubleshooting
Neutrino Group Intern, University of Geneva 07/2009-09/2009
• Performed simulations of the of Magnetized Iron Neutrino long-baseline Detector (MIND) using C++,
ROOT, and GNU Plot.
• Used numerical methods, probability & statistics (Chi-squared test) to vary parameters (binning,
detector weight, baseline length) and wrote final analysis using LaTeX
