Window displays
1. Window Displays
First Window- Retrofit Culture
The business I was interning for
was relocating. I wanted to
create a window that altered the
public that something was
happening in the building without
using any merchandise.
Second window of the display. I
wanted to create a Polaroid with
a sunset in the background to
represent new beginnings. This
window was created with a
budget of under $50.
2. Second Window- Retrofit Culture
RetroFit was going to open in a week.
I wanted to show the public that the
store was (re) opening. The new
chapter shows that. Going with the
new chapter theme I scattered books
throughout and used merchandise
that could be found in the store
when it opened again.
I continued with the New Chapter
idea for the second window. The
signage in this one is the date of the
opening of the store.
3. Third Window- RetroFIt Culture
I created a Christmas window
display for RetroFit. I went with
the theme "Merry & Bright." The
first window I focused on the
Merry, with Santa, presents, etc...
The second portion of the
window I focused on bright. I
wrapped a ladder in Christmas
lights and strung them
throughout. In the first window I
also added Christmas lights to tie
everything together. The total
cost of this window was five
dollars.
4. Fourth Window-RetroFIt Culture
This window is a part of the building
but not RetroFit Culture itself. I just
needed to fill it, so I found old windows
and frosted them to give a winter feel.
I then hung wreaths and ice cycles.
5. First Window- Fashion Promotion
Was given the task to create a
display (with little restriction) in
Fashion Promotion 368. I went
with the idea of a girl entering
her closet and having the
chance to decide who she will
be that day, hence "Choose
Your Own Fairytale."
6. Second Window- Fashion Promotion
Was given the task of creating a
second display for Fashion
Promotion 368. The dress itself
inspired a Goddess like feel.
That inspired me to create a
dreamy display. I added flowers
on the ceiling to create
dimension and add an
unexpected touch.
