Regional Service Grant Amendment (Final)
1. AMENDMENTS TO THE REGION POLICY MANUAL.

Section5, Finance and Treasury, of the RegionPolicyManual is amendedas follows:
5.1 Each chapter shall transmitregionduesinthe amountof fiftycents($0.50) onedollar ($1.00)
peractive memberlistedonthe CharterReaffirmationof the currentyear. These duesmustbe
postmarkednolaterthanNovember15 of the currentyear andare to be transmittedtothe Region
Finance Chair. Checksare to be made payable to“AlphaPhi OmegaRegionX.”
5.1.1 Duescollectedshall be forwardedbythe RegionFinance Chairtothe National Officefor
depositintothe region’saccount.
5.1.2 Fiftycents ($0.50) per activememberof the duesare to be earmarked forthe purpose of
funding theRegionalService Grant.
Section6, Regional Service Grant, isadded to the RegionPolicy Manual. All subsequentsectionsare
to be renumberedaccordingly.
6.1 There is hereby established the RegionalService Grant,whosepurposeis to provide needed
funding to thechaptersof Region X forservice projectsbenefiting youth.
6.2 The Region Service Grant shall be funded using thefollowing threemethods:
6.2.1 Fiftycents ($0.50) per activememberof the region duesfromeach chapter.
6.2.2 An increase of two dollarsand fifty cents ($2.50) per person in section/region conference
fees.
6.2.3 Fundraisersasnecessary to supplementthefunding fromsections6.2.1 and 6.2.2.
6.3 The Region Service Grant shall be administered by theRegion Service Committee,orby an ad hoc
committeeas determined by the Region Director.
6.3.1 The grant(s) shallbeawarded in the fall term each year.
6.3.2 Any chapterin good standing in Region X may apply forthe RegionalService Grant.
Chaptersthathavereceived grantsfromthe Fraternity,such asthe Youth Service Grant,may apply for
the grant,butprioritywill be given to thosechaptersthathavenotreceived a Fraternity grant.
6.3.3 The committeewill create the application,establish thecriteria forgrantapproval,and
determinehowmuch money will be availableforgrants,subjectto approvalof theRegion Director
6.4 Any chapterreceiving a RegionalService Grantmust createa written reportcontaining a
summary of theprojectplanning,thebudget,and resultsof the project’sexecution.
6.4.1 All reportsmustbe completed on a dateto be determined by the committee,with the
approvalof theRegion Director.
2. 6.4.2 Any chapterfailing to write a report by the deadlinedateshall be considered notin good
standing in the region until the report is turned in, and will be ineligible for a Region Service Grantfor the
nextyear.
