Kia Soul 2015-2016 Features Overview
The Kia Soul got a facelift and a new transmission for the 2015
model year. Being touted as a crossover, it is really a tall compact
hatchback, designed to be appealing for our misguided urban youth.
Featuring tons of cabin space, the Kia Soul is powered by a 1.6-litre or a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder
engine, both mated to a new 6-speed automatic transmission. Also the Soul gets more soft-
touch material inside. Available in two trim levels, the basic model comes with 16-inch alloy
wheels, power windows, electric power steering, keyless entry, electric mirrors, a single
driver's airbag, roof rack, fog lamps, CD stereo with iPod input, rear parking sensors, split-
folding rear seat, black cloth upholstery and 16-inch alloy wheels. The top-spec trim gets
LED running lamps, a better CD stereo with a sub-woofer and illuminated speakers, as well
as a sunroof, leather steering wheel, underfloor tray and power outlet in the boot, luggage
net, some extra trim. dual front airbags and 18-inch alloy wheels, with a choice of black,
beige and red two-tone interiors. Optional features are extensive, largely limited to
appearance kits, such as funkier alloy wheels, stickers, chrome trim, front and rear skirts,
and shiny fuel caps. In addition to front airbags, ABS is available on all except the base
model, but stability control and side airbags are not available on GCC-spec models.
