Aegir is originally from Portland, OR where he grew up on a floating home with his two older sisters and loving parents. He was the captain of both the varsity sailing team and varsity track team. Aside from athletics he was also a member of the concert band, pep band, and 1st chair pianist in the jazz band. He shattered the Lincoln High School Pole Vault record by 14" his senior year and was recruited by the University of Washington Track and Field Team. While at the University of Washington, Aegir was an integral part of the renovation and redevelopment of the theta theta chapter of the fifth oldest fraternity in the nation, Psi Upsilon.
