1. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR COMAR
1. A drivers school licenses is VALID FOR 2 YEARS
2. A drivers school license renewal must be submitted NO LATER THAN 10
DAYS BEFORE expiration date of current license
3. Ceasing instruction at the school must be notified in writing AT LEAST 30 days
BEFORE closing date of school
4. Within 7 DAYS after closing a materials must be returned to Administration
5. within 30 DAYS of closing all moneys must be refunded
6. An instructors badge is VALID FOR 2 YEARS
7. An instructors license record must be satisfactory AT LEAST 3 PREVIOUS
consecutive years
8. An unsatisfactory record is 4 POINTS OR MORE
9. 2 observers at a time are allowed to ride along
10. Classroom instruction must provide a MINIMUM of 15 minutes break after each
90 minutes of cass instruction
11. Before an apprentice can teach he must observe 15 hours of classroom, and 4
hours of behind the wheel
12. A certified driver education instructor shall be renewed EVERY 2 YEARS
13. A certified driver education instructor must submit a renewal application NO
LATER THAN 10 days before expiration date of current license. The applicant
must have taught 30 HOURS in 2 YEARS, and completed administration
approved in service, and professional/development training
14. An applicant must not have alcohol or drug offenses on record within 5 YEARS
