I am a social scientist whose research specialises in the topic of innovation and sustainability. This includes studying innovation processes in civil society as well as firms, analysis of the sustainability politics of innovation, as well as critical research into policies to promote more sustainable innovation. I have undertaken research for UK Research Councils, UK government departments and ministries in other countries, the European Commission, civil society organisations, and industry. My work has been published widely in scientific and popular journals and arenas, and I have been invited to present it at events around the world.
