Responsibilities include:
Provide guidance and leadership to 7 direct and 20 indirect reports in all aspects of the Professional
Responsibility function of The Mississippi Bar, including administration of the Office of General Counsel.
Monitor and assist the Committee on Professional Responsibility, Ethics Committee, Client Security Fund
Committee, Fee Dispute Committee, and Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee. Serve as legal counsel
of the Bar directed by the Board of Commissioners; provide legal opinions as requested by the Executive
Director. Contribute as guest lecturer at law schools and public speaker for local bar associations, legal
associations, paralegals and civic clubs. Represent the Bar in all litigation filed against it or by it. Receive
and process complaints of attorney misconduct, including investigation and prosecution.
Commit to 25 guest speaking engagements annually, speaking to attorneys, judges, law students,
paralegals and legal and local bar associations.
Serve as guest lecturer and speaker to Mississippi College School of Law and University of Mississippi
Law School classes, Supreme Court of Mississippi, Judicial College, National Organization of Bar

2. Assessed the disciplinary process with Rules of Discipline Review Committee and filed a petition with
the Supreme Court requesting changes.

Court seeking definition of the practice of law in Mississippi.
Oversaw the consideration and issuance of seven Formal Ethics Opinions issued by the Board of Bar

Drafted and reorganized the ethics and professionalism sections of the Bar’s website

Organized and participated in “Integrity, Duty and Common Sense: A Dialogue on Interaction
between the Bench and Bar”, a six-city, three-day forum in Biloxi, Hattiesburg, Jackson, Greenwood,
Tupelo and Southaven (May, 2007)
Delivered oral argument before Supreme Court (Lumumba).
Led the conversion of the Office of General Counsel to electronic case management system (Time
Matters).
Act as counsel to the Committee on Professional Responsibility; screen complaints and refer those
containing allegations amounting to probable cause to committee members having jurisdiction.
Provide input into policy formulation on disciplinary procedure and other general activities of The
Mississippi Bar requiring legal definition and review.

Responsibilities included:
Oversaw 13 direct and 30 indirect reports in the management of commercial and consumer rental assets
throughout Mississippi, with a district fleet of 110 vehicles and 10 locations across a 250-mile territory with
$4 million in annual revenue. Established, distributed and monitored rental rates as per seasonal needs and
utilization rates. Managed P&L and developed/implemented marketing plans for all locations. Performed
onsite inspections of rental agent locations.
Met District Rental Revenue Goal of $4 million during a down economy for transportation industry.
Grew Rental Agent locations from 4 to 10 in the state of Mississippi.
Conducted performance appraisals; set performance goals and objectives for all personnel.
