My career started in pub management (I was Britain's youngest landlady at the age of 19!) but I soon found the hours too long so in 2000 I decided to venture into the events industry and travelled extensively over Europe organising conferences and incentives. When, in 2002 the opportunity arose to manage a local foodie pub (The Baskerville Arms in Shiplake) on my own I took the bull by the horns and had a great couple of years, meeting my husband in the process!
