3. New York Season Series
The Sky and the Liberty have played once this season in Allstate Arena. New York handed Chi-
cago one of its two home losses on June 30th, as Tina Charles scored 26 points and grabbed 11
rebounds. Elena Delle Donne scored 26 points and grabbed 13 rebounds but it was not enough as
New York knocked down nine three-pointers and shot 45.5% from the field.
Offense On Point
On August 4th against the Indiana Fever, the Sky’s 57 first half points and 31 first quarter points
were both season-highs for the team. The Sky’s 106 points set a new franchise record for points
in regulation. The team’s final shooting percentage of 63.2% and 106 total points are season-
highs in the WNBA. The Sky shot 71.9% from the field in the first half of the contest, the best
shooting in a half by a WNBA team since the 2013 season. Chicago became just the third WNBA
team ever to shoot at least 70% in both quarters of a half.
Dealing de Souza
The Sky acquired veteran center Erika de Souza from the Atlanta Dream as part of a three-
team deal that sent center Sylvia Fowles and the Sky’s second round pick in the 2016 Draft to
Minnesota. Atlanta recieves Lynx forwards Damiris Dantas & Reshanda Gray and Minnesota’s
first-round pick in the 2016 Draft.
Delle Donne Wins Player of the Month
Elena Delle Donne received the Eastern Conference Player of the Month award for the month of
June. Delle Donne led the league in June averaging 28.7 points per game for the month. She also
led the Eastern Conference in rebounding (9.9 rpg) and blocks (2.6 bpg). Delle Donne made 91-93
free throws during the month of June, good for 97.8%.
Double- Double or Nothing
Through the first 21 games of the season, Elena Delle Donne has recorded nine double-doubles.
In those nine games, Delle Donne has averaged 23.9 ppg and 11.6 rpg, including a record- set-
ting 45-point, 11-rebound performance in an overtime victory over Atlanta on June 24th.
Don’t Sleep on Sloot
Sky point guard Courtney Vandersloot is currently ranked first in the WNBA in assists per game
at 5.8 assists per game. She tied a career-high dishing out 13 assists vs. LA on 7/31. She previ-
ously recorded 13 assists on 5/30/14. Her 13 assists in a single game is a Sky franchise record.
Home Cookin’
The Sky have the best home record in the WNBA’s Eastern Conference so far this season, posting
a 9-2 record in games played at Allstate Arena. The Sky have won their nine homes games by an
average of 13.9 points.
Delle Donne’s Historic Night
On June 24th vs. Atlanta, Elena Delle Donne scored a career-high 45 points and recorded a ca-
reer high six blocks. Delle Donne went 19-19 from the free throw line vs. Atlanta, recording the
third most free throws made in a game in WNBA history. She is one of 12 players in WNBA history
to score 40+ points in a game and is one of five WNBA players to record two different 40+ point
games in a career.
When Delle Donne Scores 20+...
The Sky’s chances to win increase tremendously when Elena Delle Donne is able to score consis-
tently. Since her career began in 2013, the Sky have a 26-9 record when Delle Donne scores at
least 20 points. However, when Delle Donne has not scored 20 during that span, the Sky’s record
falls to 26-28.

When At Least Four Sky Players Score in Double-Figures...
The Sky is 10-2 this season when four or more players on the team score in double-figures. Most
recently, in the Sky’s win over the Fever on August 4th, six Sky players scored in double-figures
(Delle Donne, Pondexter, Faulkner, Laney, Young and de Souza).
Vandersloot and Delle Donne Reach 1,000 Points
Courtney Vandersloot scored her 1,000th career WNBA point vs. Atlanta on June 19th. She be-
came the seventh Sky player to reach the milestone. One day later on June 20th vs. San Antonio,
Elena Delle Donne scored her 1,000th career WNBA point. Delle Donne is the eighth Sky player
to score 1,000 points and did so in the least amount of games in Sky history (52 games). Delle
Donne is also the third fastest in WNBA history to reach the 1,000 points mark.
Scoring Eighty
When the Sky’s offense is clicking, they are very difficult to beat. Since the beginning of the 2010
season, the team is 57-15 when they score 80 or more points. This season, the Sky is 10-3 when
they eclipse the 80-point mark.
EDD at the Free Throw Line
Free throws come naturally for the Sky’s star player Elena Delle Donne. In her most recent
streak, Delle Donne hit 54 consecutive free throws, setting a Sky franchise record. In her WNBA
career, Delle Donne has never missed two consecutive free throws and is 150 of 157 in the 2015
season.
Sharing the Rock
The Sky’s success is dictated heavily by their ability to effectively pass the ball on the offensive
end of the floor. Since the beginning of the 2013 season, the Sky have posted a fantastic 42-
14 record when they have collected 15 or more assists in a game. However, when they have
amassed fewer than 15 assists, the Sky’s record over the same period is merely 9-23.
Coach Chatman’s Outstanding Tenure
The 2015 season marks Chicago Sky Head Coach and General Manager Pokey Chatman’s fifth
year with the team. Chatman is the longest consecutive Sky coach in franchise history. Among
the current WNBA coaching staff, the Minnesota Lynx’s Head Coach Cheryl Reeve has the longest
running coaching tenure, as she has coached the Lynx since 2010. Chatman and San Antonio
Head Coach Dan Hughes have the second longest running coaching tenures with their respective
teams, both having coached their teams for five succeeding seasons.
First Round Draft Pick
The Sky made three draft picks in the 2015 WNBA draft, including the selection of former Middle
Tennessee State University graduate Cheyenne Parker 5th overall. During her senior year, Park-
er averaged 17.8 points and 10.6 rebounds after transferring from High Point University, where
she won the Defensive Player of the Year Award her sophomore and junior seasons.
Magellan Sponsorship Makes Team History
For the first time in team history, the Sky has signed an extension to their current deal with
Magellan, a Sky partner since 2014 and a specialty steel distributor, adding the corporation’s
logo to the left shoulder of the Sky jerseys. In addition, the two will collaborate on the promotion
of a number of charitable organizations supported by Magellan, including Gilda’s Club, La Rabida
Children’s Hospital, The Old Town School of Folk Music, and the DuSable Museum of African
American History.
Sky Welcome New Broadcasting Duo
In 2015, the Chicago Sky welcomes a new broadcasting duo in Eric Collins and Stephen Bardo.
A Chicago native, Collins will serve as the play-by-play broadcaster and Bardo will serve as
the color analyst. Collins served as the Sky’s play-by-play announcer for the team’s first three
seasons (2006-2008). Since then he’s emerged as one of the most versatile announcers in the
country, splitting his time with the BIG 10 Network and FOX Sports 1. Prior to that Collins spent
six years at ESPN (2004-2009) covering a wide-range of sports. Bardo, who began his broadcast
career in 2000, has extensive experience having served as a color analyst for college basketball
on ESPN and the Big Ten Network.

12. POKEY CHATMAN
Head Coach and General Manager
On October 29, 2010, Pokey Chatman became the fourth head coach in the history of the Chicago Sky. The 2015 WNBA season
marks her fifth season at the helm in Chicago. Chatman came to the Sky following three years of coaching women’s professional
basketball in Russia and 15 years on the coaching staff at Louisiana State, her alma mater.
She served two seasons as an assistant coach of Russian Spartak Moscow Region before being promoted to head coach in 2010.
That year, Chatman led the team to a perfect 16-0 record and the 2010 Euroleague Championship. Chatman also coached the
Slovakian national women’s team from 2008-2010. In 2009, Chatman took the traditionally unsuccessful Slovakian squad to the
EuroBasket Final in Riga, where they narrowly missed a spot in the FIBA World Championships.
Chatman was named head coach of the LSU Lady Tigers in the 2003-2004 season. She went a remarkable 47-3 in her first 50
games as head coach, the second best starting record for a head coach in women’s basketball history. Chatman was named the U.S.
Basketball Writers Associaton National Coach of the Year, WBCA National Coach of the Year, Naismith National Coach of the Year
and the Victor Award Female Coach of the Year for the 2003-2004 season. In her time as the LSU head coach (2004-2007), Chat-
man led the Lady Tigers to three straight Final Fours and overall 106-19 record.
Chatman also served as an assistant coach at LSU from 1992-2004 and played at LSU from 1987-1991. As a player at LSU,
Chatman let the Lady Tigers to their first ever SEC Tournament Title in 1991 and was named the MVP of the SEC Tournament. She
was named All-SEC three times, was an All-American in 1991 and set 20 school records at LSU. Chatman also has won two gold
medals with USA Basketball. One as a player with the Junior National Team in 1987 and one as an assistant coach of the World
University Team in 2005.
Chatman is a native of Ama, Louisiana. She earned her bachelor’s degree from LSU in 1991.
