This journal article summarizes a 12-month randomized controlled study examining the efficacy and safety of using diffusion optics spectacle lenses to control myopia progression in children. The study involved over 300 children between the ages of 6-12 who were provided either the diffusion lenses or single vision lenses. Results showed that the progression of myopia was significantly slower in the children wearing the diffusion lenses compared to the single vision lenses, demonstrating the diffusion lenses can safely and effectively help control the progression of nearsightedness in children.
