Farmyard, which offers outdoor recreation for visitors

Day to Labor Day. Attractions at A Maze’n Farmyard
include animals, a bouncy barn, giant slide, miniature
golf course, and the namesake 20,000-square-foot
maze.
The oldest known labyrinths - mazes without dead
ends, meant as a long, single winding path - date as
far back as 2,500 years, to Egypt. Labyrinths would
later appear in the famous Greek legend of Theseus
and the Cretean Labyrinth that contained the bull-
headed Minotaur, as well as in decorative artwork for
Roman streets and doorways, and in rites of passage
to adulthood for boys of ancient Germany.

3. Mazes and Labyrinths
 The mazes of today, with their tricks, traps, and
false paths, are puzzles meant to be solved. It’s
no accident that mazes are commonly used by
neuroscientists when testing an animal’s
intelligence. The ability to create and retain a map
of our environment is a function of the
hippocampus, a primitive part of the brain lying
beneath its surface. The hippocampus is the
reason that relatively simple animals can
flawlessly navigate a maze after becoming
familiar with its arrangement.
