1. Creating a new household
a. Click “Collect New Data” button from “Survey” window.
b. In ‘Current Location’ window -
i. Select District, Upazilla, Union, Mouza and Village,
ii. Insert HHCode, Visit Date, Latitude, Longitude and Comment
(Latitude, Longitude and Comment fields are not mandatory).
iii. Click on “Sections” button from “Current Location” form.
2. Editing information of an existing household
a. Select a Household from “Survey” form.
b. Click on “Edit Location” from “Options” menu.
c. Change necessary fields in “Current Location” form.
d. Click on “Sections” button from “Current Location” form. .
3. Collecting Answer from a household
a. Select language: “English” or “Bangla”
b. Select a Section from ‘Sections’ list from “Household” form
c. Click on “Question” button.
d. Select answer(s) of a question and click on “>” button for next questions
or click on “<” for previous questions or you can click on question
selection box for selecting a specific question.
e. Click on “?” button to see any comment is given for selected question.
f. ‘Other Answer’ can be taken using the Text field placed below the
provided answers. It will appear only those questions where Other answer
is allowed.
4. Collecting data from a household of a non repetitive section
a. Click on “Question” button from “Household”.
b. Answer questions as described in section 3.
c. After answering all Question click on ‘Finish’ button
5. Collecting data from a household of a repetitive section
a. Select a repetitive section
b. Click on ‘Members’ button
c. From ‘Lines’ window
i. Click ‘Add Member’
ii. Insert ‘Member No’ in ‘Member Name’ window
iii. Click ‘OK’ in ‘Member Name’ window
iv. Answer questions as described in section 3
v. Click ‘Finish’ button to mark the line as finished. i.e taking answer
for this member has been finished.
d. Repeat the whole process described in step c for each member
e. After taking information of all members click the ‘Finish Section’ button
in Lines window to complete section.
6. Collecting data from a household of a dependent section
a. Select a dependent Section in ‘Household’ window
b. Click on “Question/Members” button in ‘Household’ window
c. In ‘Master Section’ window
i. Select a member from the List
ii. Click ‘View Members’ button
iii. If selected section is repetitive then follow the steps described in
section 5. Otherwise follow the steps described in section 4.
7. Finishing data collection from a household
a. After finishing all Sections of a Household click on “Complete” button of
“Household” form to mark the household as finished. Any finished
household cannot be edited anymore.
8. Canceling or suspending data collection from a household
a. Select a Household from “Survey” form.
b. Click on “Set Status” from “Options” menu and select a status (Cancel or
Suspend)

  • 6. c. From ‘Lines’ window i. Click ‘Add Member’ ii. Insert ‘Member No’ in ‘Member Name’ window iii. Click ‘OK’ in ‘Member Name’ window iv. Answer questions as described in section 3 v. Click ‘Finish’ button to mark the line as finished. i.e taking answer for this member has been finished. d. Repeat the whole process described in step c for each member e.
