Crabs live under river banks, lakes, beaches, and in holes in the sand. There are 4,500 types of crabs and 500 types of hermit crabs. Crabs eat algae, small fish, plankton, and sometimes each other. Crabs are eaten by seagulls, people, and larger fish.
