Indonesia refer to their homeland as
Tanah Air Kita, which means “Our Land
and Water”. This refers to its
geographical make up consisting of 18,
307 islands. The total landmass is 1.91
million square kilometers connected by 6
seas covering more than 3 million square
kilometers.
Due to weaker investment growth and
sluggish exports, Indonesia’s economy is
projected to grow by 5.2% in 2015, lower than
the 5.6% previously forecasted in July 2014, says
a new World Bank report.
Economic growth for 2014 is projected at
5.1%, a marginal revision to the 5.2% estimated
in July 2014, reports the December 2014 issue of
the Indonesia Economic Quarterly, the flagship
publication of the World Bank in Indonesia,
entitled Delivering Change.
