Many non-Italians identify Italian
cooking with a few of its most
popular dishes, like pizza and
spaghetti. People often express the
opinion that all Italian cooking is
pretty much alike. However, those
who travel through Italy notice
differences in eating habits between
cities, even cities only a few miles
apart. Not only does each region
have its own style, but each
community and each valley has a
different way of cooking as well.
The migrations of Indo-European people began in 2000 b.c and continued till about 1000 b.c. From about the 9th century b.c the romans over through the Indo-Europeans in the 3rd century b.c the Etruscan civilization was dominant. By 264 b.c all of south Italy was under leader ship of Rome. Although Italy remained politically fragmented for centuries, it became the cultural center of the Western world from the 13th to the 16th century.
There are were many famous people in Italy. Some of these famous people would be Gino Cervi born in 1901 was famous for his acting and management also he was known outside of Italy for his film portrayal of a small-town Communist mayor in the Don Camillo films.
Other famous people include Elio Germano who won the Best Actor Award at the Cannes Film Festival in 2010
Gaius Julius Caesar was a Roman general, statesman, Consul, and notable author of Latin prose. He played a critical role in the events that led to the demise of the Roman Republic and the rise of the Roman Empire.
The Colosseum or Coliseum, also known as the Flavian Amphitheatre is an elliptical amphitheatre in the centre of the city of Rome, Italy.
The Leaning Tower of Pisa is a freestanding bell tower located in the city of Pisa in Italy. Like its name suggest, it actually does lean to one side. The tower started to lean during construction because the foundation was built on soft ground that had difficulty supporting the weight. The lean became worse as construction continued for several decades. Between 1990 and 2001 it was stabilized and the lean was partially fixed.
