Frank Horvat
1. “FRANK HORVAT”
The Frank Horvat Band
Pioneering a post-Radiohead / Bjork sound, they’re pop, poetry and modern expression in a
beautifully pained existence. An art rock band with an electronic edge, they take you through a
journey from sweet ambiance to aggressive repetition enveloping you with the sweet and
soaring voice of Felicity Williams. Formed in 2013 by Canadian composer and pianist Frank
Horvat, The Frank Horvat Band’s uncreative name hides a group of wildly creative musicians
including Frank Horvat (keys), Felicity Williams (vocals), Thom Gill (guitar), Bram Gielen (bass)
and Evan Tighe (percussion).
Album: I Can See You
Their debut CD, I Can See You, explores the race we all face against time. The edgy music lays
bare a deeply personal story between a husband & wife. I Can See You has a story- 22 years in
2. the making. While preparing to write for this album, Frank Horvat uncovered his wife’s lost
teenage notebook of poetry. Full of doubts about life’s uncertainties, these emotions strangely
dovetailed, years later, with Frank’s own artistic and life struggles. Frank finally understood her
and them more deeply, and he finished his wife’s thoughts by putting them to music. The songs
are magical, spiritual and revelatory through the prism of loneliness, love and longing.
