Sublime was a band formed in Long Beach, California that used a dog named Louie as their mascot. The band released their self-titled album in 1996 after the lead singer, Bradley Nowell, died of a heroin overdose that same year. Despite Nowell's death, Sublime continued to have chart-topping hits from their 1996 album for several years after.
