The Hindu writings show that there are more than 88,000 different chakra points in a persons body
but they are all focused into 7 main areas or energy axis'. All of the 7 areas go from the base of a
persons spine all the way to their head.
The seven chakras are the root, navel and solar plexus chakras, the heart, throat, and brow and
crown chakras. The receiving and transmitting of energy from the surroundings, the individuals
involved and other essential surrounding elements involves these chakra points. The mystical,
spiritual, emotional, intellectual, corporeal and psychological issues of an individual are influenced
by the activity of the chakras.
There are many different ways to define chakra's and they all seem to have an a common tie that
binds them. There been many explanations including a spiritual or mystical understanding to the
Chinese medicine. There are Psychologists and as well as regular individuals also have their own
opinion on what a chakra is. The way modern psychology views it as an explanation of how our
conscience and subconscious mind and thought process works.
It is important to understand that the Chakras in your body are always in motion even if you are
sleeping. They are constantly influencing the metabolic functions of your body as well as the
thoughts that your mind is having. Now you can see why the well being of our Chakras is so
important. If one Chakra is disrupted then our entire body may be affected negatively.
The reason behind this is that each major chakra is associated with a specific endocrine gland
within our body. An imbalance of any charkra affects the physical and emotional processes that
exist within our bodies. Any type of disruption of the chakra can be linked through the endocrine
gland it is associated with.
Chakra Balance Maintenance We can safely assume by using the point above as a starting place
that for the most part our chakras are related to any type of ailment, illness of disease we may
encounter. Although, we may not recognize the appearance of an illness or imbalance there are
2. still concerns or emotional issues that result from our youth that can and will hold bearing on our
emotional, physical and spiritual senses.
Many people feel depressed because of horrible emotional experiences that they were put through
throughout their life. You must realize that this is one of the major causes of having an imbalance
in one of the seven major chakras. Many people often try to forgot bad events that have happened
to them, but it is extremely important that you come to terms with these events.
Thus it is essential to remove the emotional baggage from our minds in order to properly balance
the chakras.
Thus, it ca be said that the human body deserves Chakra Healing. By making use of techniques
such as colour therapy, aromatherapy, Reiki healing and balancing the chakras while using
crystals, gemstones or a pendulum we can influence our chakras directly.
Many individuals enjoy yoga sessions. Physical breathing exercises practiced in traditional forms
of yoga are also beneficial in maintaining chakra balance, toning up your physical form in the
process.
Other methods include meditation to keep the thoughts focused and gain awareness in a specific
amount of time. This can be obtained in a guidance CD or audio tape for enjoying the relaxation
sessions and natural healings for reducing stress and manifesting mind power.
Although we cannot see or feel our chakras, they work alone to help sustain our bodies in several
ways.
The human body has to be healthy and fed properly in order for us to have balanced chakras.
There are foods that help maintain the balance of each of the seven primary chakras.
The root chakra is nourished with foods rich in protein, spices and root type vegetables. Nuts,
vanilla, cinnamon, sweet fruits and seeds such as caraway and sesame nourishes the sacral
chakra that of our sexual being and creativity. Breads, cereals, pasta, yogurt, dairy products and
spicy mints nourish our stomach or solar plexus chakra which enhances our sense of self love and
self confidence.
Go with green leafy veggies for your heart chakra and plenty of liquids for your throat chakra. You
can go with fruit juices and tangy fruits as well.
The third eye or brow which enhances the sharpness of third eye sight and an inner depth of your
physical gifts is enriched with consumption of grapes, blueberries, grape juice and wine.
3. Our spiritual chakra located at the crown of the head requires detoxification. Thus, rituals such as
inhalation of herbs and incense or activities such fasting helps to a great extent.
Thus we can improve our health as we stimulate our chakras. Doing so motivates us to be more
responsive in our lives as we get tuned up to the surrounding auras of life and other elements
affecting the physical and metaphysical environments we are living in.
