Cafodd Strategaeth Tlodi Plant ei gyhoeddi ar 3

                Llywodraeth Cymru.
The Child Poverty Strategy was published on 3
                   February 2011.
It is a part of the Welsh Government’s Tackling
                 Poverty programme.

Mae’n anodd mesur tlodi plant yng nghefn gwlad Cymru. Mae llawer o bwyslais ar y
  MALIC.

32% of children in Wales are living in poverty
Approx 200,000 children

It’s difficult to measure child poverty in rural Wales. There’s a lot of emphasis on the
     WIMD.

  nag ydynt yn y dref
• Teulu gyda dau o blant angen £60 yn fwy i fyw yn y
  wlad
• Costau teithio yw’r elfen fwyaf o’r costau yma, sef
  rhwng 60% a 100%

• The cost of living in rural areas is 20% higher than in
  urban areas
• A couple with two children need £60 more in rural
  areas
• Travelling costs is the largest element of these costs,
  between 60%-100%

• Does gennyn ni ddim bywyd cymdeithasol. Pan mae mêts ni
   yn gofyn i ni fynd allan y peth cyntaf sy’n rhaid i ni feddwl
   amdano ydy sut rydan ni’n mynd yna, neu faint o’r gloch
   wnawn ni gyrraedd yna a sut uffern allen ni ddod adra!”

Social exclusion
• “ We have no social life. When our mates ask us to go out the
  first thing we have to think of is how do we get there, or what
  time will we end up getting there and then how the hell are
  we getting home”.

    a 34 munud, dim bysiau ar ôl 13.25 a dim bysiau yn ôl wedi 15.58 oni bai eich
    bod yn dal bws 6.48am a chyrraedd am 11.10 – 4 awr a 22 munud! Transport

•   “The cinema! We miss out on the cinema. It takes so much effort thinking
    about swapping and changing buses and a whole day out on a bus just to go to
    the cinema”.
    (Gareth from Aberdaron who lives in Aberdaron, 69 miles away, change three
    times, takes 3.34 hrs, no buses after 13.25 and no buses back after 15.58
    unless you catch the 6.48am and arrive back in Aberdaron at 11.10 – 4hrs 22

  which are of paramount importance in their
  personal development and especially when
  looking for employment
