1. ALADDIN AND ALI BABA

Compare and contrast
I am comparing Alibaba and the forty thieves with Aladdin.
We read Alibaba and the forty thieves in our text books and
we watched a movie called Aladdin I am comparing these
two stories on there similarities and differences. I’m going
to write eight paragraphs on there similarities and
differences.
My first similarity between these two stories is that there’s a
thief in both of them. A thieve is someone who takes or
steals something. In Aladdin Jarfar is the thieve he made
Aladdin go in to the cave and get him the lamp so that
makes Jafar the thief. When Aladdin got him the magic
lamp Jafar shoved him down the cave to die but the carpet
caches Aladdin. In Alibaba and the forty thieves the chief
and the thieves are the thieves because they stole a lot of
gold and hid it in the cave.
A second similarity is they both have tricksters in the two
stories. A trickster is someone who tricks someone into
going or doing something. On the contrary in Aladdin
Aladdin tricks the guards into going somewhere and then he
escapes. In Alibaba and the forty thieves margarita tricks the
thieves into going somewhere. Because the thieves marks
there door and margarita marks every door around them so
the thieves got tricked by margarita.
Both a third similarity is they both have caves in the book
and movie. Both caves in both stories are filled with gold
and riches. A cave is a underground tunnel. For a example
you might find a cave on the side of a mountain. Minning
tunnels are considerd a cave.

2. One of my first differences is that there’s a genie in alladin
and no genie in Alibaba and the forty thieves. The genie can
grant three wishes and he comes out of a magic lamp. The
genie cant grant and wish that involves making someone fall
in love. A evil thieve takes the magic lamp but Aladdin ends
up getting it back. My second difference is you enter
through a rock in Alibaba and the forty thieves and you
enter through a talking panther in Aladdin. In Alibaba you
enter through a rock and the password is open sesame.
That’s were the word sesame came from! In Aladdin theres
no password the talking panther just gets angry if you dare
to enter. The last difference is there’s 40 thieves in Alibaba
and two main thieves in Aladdin one main thieve in Aladdin
is Aladdin, He is actually a good thief. The other thief stole
the genie lamp and hypnotized people.
Overall I liked both of these stories but I think I would
prefer the movie Aladdin because I can understand better
watching not reading.
