Or I’m Yellow. I’m
any man. And I
choose my own
colors.
Hook - As we go through life, we all make history. But most history is simply forgotten, and only the important events are codified into textbooks. Now think about this, what if you were to write down your own story. Your own persona. Well, this is the story of my persona. And so I figured people needn’t ask rhetorical questions like, “ What’s your favorite color”, or “ What kind of music are you into”. Rather they need to ask unorthodox questions like “ Which Ulises is this?”, or “ Can you list all your passions?”.

Body(intro) - Hi, My names Ulises Martinez. I understand the previous slide might confuse you, but put that aside for now, we’ll get back to it. Yes, my birth name is Ulises Martinez. No middle name. I am of Mexican descent, and was born in Texas. On March 27, 1995 I landed on earth, in a small town, near Houston, Texas.
Body(cont.) - For 18 years, I lived in the Houston area. Here I attended school and excelled, respectively, in most of my academic career. And since the beginning, I also began my exploration of art and the beautiful world it envisions.
Body(cont.) – I remember my senior English teacher, constantly reminding us that if you want to master anything, the two things you must accomplish are, Frequency and Variety. This always stuck to me and resonated with personal beliefs. Aside from obvious roots that involve family, I have more relevant ideals, such as self-growth. As a powerful personal root, it forces me to become the best I can be. Recalling the unorthodox questions in the beginning, “Which Ulises is this” . I was simply inferring that considering all my passions and everything I hope to possibly accomplish it sometimes seems as if theres more than one of me.
Considering the Body of Work exercises, It was really tough to pin point an answer, and write something down. Because a lot of the times, my opinions and interests may differ. So what I mean, is there are many things I want to do, different paths I want to take, and it is this characteristic about myself, which I hope to expose through this professional persona project.
Now, normally, this is where another student would continue to answer different questions about themselves. I, instead, will now answer the same questions, with different answers. [What do you hope to create? What ideas drive you? Who do you want to help or impact? What changes do you want to create in the world? What do you value? What do you believe, and why do you believe it? What problems do you want to solve?]
Although, career-wise, I chose to follow art and study animation, there is another side of me, who thinks otherwise. There is also a part of me, who aims to achieve a more intellectual future. And what exactly do I mean by that? Well, a part of me also wants to create machines and innovations. I want to study the hardest equations of math and physics to bring to the world, a new idea, one that will benefit all. Einstein drives me, Ampere drives me, Newton drives me. Man of science who have changed the world through science and knowledge, I aim to follow in such footsteps.
