Quality Acceptance Project Manager - ATEME January 2008 – September 2011 (3 years 9 months)
ATEME’s products recognized quality is obviously depending on our R&D team. But as a Quality Acceptance Project
Manager I had the crucial task of making sure that our latest firmware and hardware achieved the quality level
expected.
As the first member of this new team I have been involved in:
● Define, install and manage the technical equipment needed to achieve this new qualification process:
○ A complete SD/HD/3G-SDI network to distribute video throughout the company with its SDI matrix.
○ A complete separate Gigabit Ethernet network to separated streaming and administrative/management
networks of the company.
○ A few HD-SDI servers self-built around Blackmagic Design or AJA boards, and the set of video, audio
and data sequences used by the qualification process.
○ The Satellite reception, consisting of 4 fixed satellites using Quad LNB.
○ Various Settop boxes, AES/SDI embedder, Dolby E encoder, SDI/ASI analyzers, IRDs, PDUs, etc.
● Define the Qualification Acceptance Procedure content and keep them up to date with the products’ evolutions.
● Report the bugs found and track their correction in interaction with the Product Managers.
● Develop a few python or bash scripts to automate some of the tests.
Being the right hand of the Quality Acceptance Manager, I was also involved in part of the organisation of this service:
Planning of the products to be qualified, redaction of the Qualification procedures, management of two Quality
Acceptance technicians.
2. Mechanical and Hardware Engineering technician - ATEME April 2005 – December 2008 (3 years 9 months)
With ATEME’s decision to begin manufacturing of video encoding product with its own brand, I worked in the Integration
Team which was in charge of developing everything that constitutes the products apart from the Electronical Hardware
and Firmware.
This position involved:
● Development of the mechanical parts and cables constituting the products, with AutoCAD and a bit of
Solidworks.
● Managing the manufacturing of these parts by our subcontractors.
● Choosing the "electro-mechanical" parts needed for the products: Cable connectors, fans, power supplies, LCD
panels, Keypads, etc.
● Assembling the prototypes and verifying they were operating.
● Doing FCC/EMC testing with certified partners.
● Testing operating conditions of the products: Noise, temperature, vibrations.
Integration Technician & Hardware Engineering - ATEME May 2001 – April 2005 (4 years)
At that time, the company worked mainly on Aeronautics and Defense Projects, as a subcontractor.
I was in charge of:
● Developing mechanical parts and cable assemblies.
● Developing electronic boards involving simple EPLD, their VHDL software and basic C programs to test them.
● Choosing the adequate components: Cable connectors, power supplies, switches, computer parts, etc.
● Managing subcontractors manufacturing mechanical parts, electronic boards or cable assemblies.
● Integrating, testing and validate these pieces of equipment in-house and on customer's sites.
● Installing and training the customers to use them.
IT technician - ATEME May 2000 – April 2001 (1 year)
I was in charge of installing Windows based computers for the new employees and solving IT problems for everyone on
site. I partly managed the company servers at the time. Everything was working under Windows.
Technician - ACAMAS Electronique March 1998 – May 2000 (2 years 3 months)
In the production department, I was in charge of programming the flying probe tester (Takaya APT8400CE) and the
