2. Plot of Story…
• Tiana lives in New Orleans and had a passion for cooking and
wanted to open up her own restaurant.
• At friends party she meets a frog who claims to be a prince and he
asks her to kiss him in order to change him back.
• She kisses him then turns into a frog herself, now she must travel to
meet Mama Odie a good voodoo priestess who can undo the curse
and change them back
• She tells then he must kiss a real princess so that he could be
changed back and once they’ve travelled to New Orleans its too
late for him to kiss the real princess
• They end up getting married and then when they share their kiss they
both become human again ( princess & prince )
4. Representation
• She was represented as a caring character because she risked her
kiss for a frog/prince
•She was also represented as hard working
because she was determined to buy her
dream restaurant even though a higher
bidder had already bought it
•Disney tries to make Tiana a positive
role model for younger girls – it
inspires them to be dedicated to their
work
5. Target Audience
• The film The Princess and the Frog was targeted at young
girls from the age 4 and over, it tried to show that black
girls could also be princesses.
•The genre of the film was a fairy-tale
so that it could reach out to younger
girls as they love princesses
•Princess Tiana was a strong and respected
character so that little girls could look up to
her and be like her
