4. Activity Description Objective To have the children explore and investigate apples from the inside out, by using plastic knives to cut up apples on their own at the Texture Table. Preparation: - Lay out apples and plastic knives on the top of the Texture Table. - Explain to the children that they are to cut up the apples to see what they look like on the inside. - Explain to the children that even though they are using plastic knives, they still need to be safe and pay attention to what they are doing. - Suggest to the students that they might want to put the seeds in a dish and count them after they find them.
