I always plan my vacation with my family and last year too I had to do the same. I did a little research online, made a few phone calls to a few friends and relatives but of no use. At last, I gave up and asked my kids to find out a beautiful place they wish to visit. After a lot of fights and arguments between them, they all agreed to visit Tenerife.

I always plan my vacation with my family and last year too I had to do the same. I did a little research
online, made a few phone calls to a few friends and relatives but of no use. At last, I gave up and asked
my kids to find out a beautiful place they wish to visit. After a lot of fights and arguments between them,
they all agreed to visit Tenerife.
Tenerife is one of the islands in the group of Canary Islands. Tenerife internationally is known as the
“Island of Eternal Spring”. Tourists come here in the search of winter sun as it gives a great experience
to people visiting Tenerife from the extreme climate zones.
We visited many beautiful and amazing places in Tenerife but the best out of them all are Tenerife
Auditorium Adán Martín, El Valle de la Orotava, Teide National Park, TEA Tenerife Arts Centre,
Thousand-year-old dragon tree, and La Laguna, a World Heritage City. We also enjoyed stargazing here.
In Tenerife Auditorium Adán Martín we get know about a wide variety of well-established cultural,
musical and conference events. In addition it is the official home of the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra. It
is also home to the Tenerife DanzaLab project.
El Valle de la Orotava is a mesmerizing landscape of green palm groves, black volcanic soil, and the deep
blue of the ocean. The Orotava Valley, also known as the Taoro Valley. The well-preserved historical
town centre of La Orotava is listed as a National Historical-Artistic Area.
Teide National Park is the Canary Islands and Tenerife’s most visible landmark. The park is one of the
island's few volcanic areas featuring ecosystem zones above the timberline, giving rise to unique
ecosystems such as the alpine broom, and alpine ecosystems. Teide National Park was awarded the title
of ‘Starlight Tourist Destination’ and ‘Starlight Reserve’. The certificate was awarded to this UNESCO
World Heritage Site by the Starlight Foundation, which aims to preserve clear skies.
TEA Tenerife Arts Centre is a worth visiting cultural centre featuring exhibition halls, a library, a cinema,
cultural activities, and much more. Thousand-year-old dragon tree also known as Dracaena draco is
considered to be over 5000 years old; however, recent estimates suggest that the tree is no more than
800 to 1000 years old. It is a really beautiful and awe-inspiring sight to see this giant tree. It is the largest
and oldest on record.
Tenerife is also known as the world’s best locations for stargazing hence stargazing tours operators, as
it have low-light pollution and pristine night-sky conditions. In Tenerife, there is a law in place that
controls contamination levels and flight paths in order to protect the perfect stargazing conditions.
Tenerife hosts the Starmus Festival that features astronomy talks, documentary screenings,
astrophotography exhibitions and ‘star parties’. We really enjoyed our vacation in Tenerife and the best
thing was getting a chance of stargazing here in the most favorable conditions.
