2. A thread for issuing warnings
A thread that only moderators can post on, issuing warnings towards
players that have committed first offenses or something minor that
needs to be noted for the rest of the moderators to see. This way, all
other moderators can check if a certain player they are about to
issue a warning to deserves a warning, or a more severe
punishment, instead of them getting 4 first time offenses by different
mods.
Also, date the time the offense was commited, or the approximate
date and time.
3. More permissiosn
Alright, so us all being mods, we’re pretty loosely organized, and
none of us have much power on TS, and little power on the website.
We cannot lock threads, amongst various other things, that I feel we
should be able to do on the website to prevent further drama. As far
as Teamspeak, all we really need to do is contact a Legends officer,
so it’s not all bad.
4. A new rule system
This is an obvious one. We need to rewrite the rules/ add on to them,
because there is still confusion amongst the players. Quite a few
have some reading issues, so we need to make them INCREDIBLY
obvious to get the point across of what you can and can’t do.
5. Griefing
Okie dokie. SO. A litteral shitton of people are getting griefed and
raided over and over and over again. This didn’t happen when
people had sea bases, at least not as much. My estimate is that the
amount of griefing has gone up by 90% since the “No unreachable
base” thing was implemented. We either need to allow sea bases
again, or remove the raid and grief rule entirely, which the players
would most certainly object to….harshly.
6. A majority vote for heavily accused players
that lack significant evidence against them.
I’ve seen many KOS, RDM, NLR, Camping spawns, and other such
offenses that simply cannot be proven via screenshot. And since not
everyone has a computer capable of video recording, we need to
switch to an alternative. My suggestion would be listening to
testimonies by witnesses, the defendant, and the accuser,
committing Cross-examiniations when needed, as if in court, and
coming up with a majority vote. Once the vote is cast, there will be
no re-voting Unless new testimony is presented and accepted as
evidence by at least ¼ of the jury (present staff members).
7. Offenses and their ban times.
So, due to all of our different opinions and perspectives, we may
figure that one ban time is alright for a certain offense, whilst a
different moderator may think it’s too harsh. So we need to come to
a compromise between these two groups. My suggestions are as
follows:
NLR (one time in 12 hours) – Warning and/or 2 hour ban.
NLR (4-5 times in 12 hours) -24 hour ban
NLR (6-12 times in 24 hours)- 1 week ban (If banned for this particular
rule twice, perma ban with ban appeal right)
KOS/RDM (1-2 in 24 hours) – Warning and/ or 2 hour ban each time
KOS/RDM ( 3+ in 32 hours) – 1 Week ban
8. Offenses and their ban times (part
2)
Driving offroad when not supposed to - /kill or let whoever sees them
offroading, shoot them until they get out of the car, die, or stop
offroading.
Not complying with building rules – 72 hour notice to fix. If not fixed,
it will be destroyed.
Griefing/raiding a house in a safe zone -/kill and destruction of
chests (and house if you want).
Going into a safezone they are not allowed to MULTIPLE TIMES in 1
hour - /kill ban for a day
Vehicle kills – If driver admits that it was an accident and returns ALL
items, it will be a warning. 5 warnings of this rule will become 2 day
ban
9. Epilogue
Let us all please take a moment to discuss our opinions and vote to
veto or edit anything that feels needed to be edited or vetoed. Also,
this is not the end of it, this was just to get the ball rolling, feel free to
discuss what you think can improve the server and make us a more
perfect form of government.
Thank you for reading
