Reward and Recognition Programs- Value the
Work of Recruits

A hard working employee seeks the company for something extra. If not provided with, his
work ability can be troubled. Read further to know about reward programs.
When an employee works more than he is paid for, he expects the company and his
employer to value that extra hard work. In case it is not valued or doesn’t get the required
recognition from the employers, the worker will either stop perform good or will start giving
low productivity. In any of these cases it is not in the favor of the company. An organization
runs on the work of the employees and not the machines. These workers are responsible in
giving you desired result if they are provided with the correct working environment and proper
appreciation. He is not paid to work extra for the betterment of the company. You are paying
only for the working hours he has to spend in the office and for the work that can be done in
those hours. In case the employee is working apart from those working hours he must be well
respected for that work just to tell him that you appreciate all his hard work and that he
should continue to do it in future. It is a good way to tell other employees that in case they will
perform well, they will also be recognized like their fellow co worker.
Most of the companies and business organization organize award function in their company
to recognize the work of their employees, but in this award function, only the team leaders
are appreciated for their work. What about the other employees who also work hard to
provide profits to the company? Do you think they will work in the similar manner on the next
project? This is the reason one must recognize the work of the employees not on the basis of
their rank or designation in the company but on the basis of their performance. Some of the
management level people take credit for the work someone else did which can be
discouraging for the hard working employees. Being an employer, it is your responsibility to
keep the work of the employees in consideration and recognize them on that basis only.
This will not only keep your workers happy but encourage them for performing well in the
future. There are many reward and recognition programs available for the workers of a
