1. San Diego Couples Counseling
Many couples do not communicate effectively, and experience ongoing issues such as
repetitive arguing and feelings of distance, resentment, or dissatisfaction with one another.
Additionally, issues such as illness, infidelity, and general communication problems can put a
strain on your relationship, causing you to feel very distant from one another.
This can have detrimental effects on your
relationship, as it may cause disinterest in continuing to pursue an emotional and physical bond
between one another. As an experienced counselor, my Marriage, Pre Marital and Couples
Counseling is based on the premise that problems between partners are best handled within the
context of the couple’s relationship. This means that both partners attend therapy to discuss
the issues at hand with a Counselor present. The Couples Counselor acts as a mediator, and is
able to provide objective and constructive feedback directly to the couple.
I have over 36 years as a San Diego Couples Counseling
professional. As a couples counselor I have helped hundreds of
couples and marriages resolve their relationship issues and
rekindle their spark.
During my San Diego Couples Counseling, PreMarital and Marriage Counseling sessions,
each partner is given the chance to speak openly and freely about their thoughts, feelings, and
behaviors in a safe, non-threatening environment. Typically, this type of therapy occurs once
per week, and can last anywhere from several weeks to several months, depending on the
severity of your concerns. Whether you are married or not, a Couples Counselor will help you
and your partner to better understand one another and provide you with the tools to deal with
future problems appropriately.
This will not only help you better understand each other, but it will also help rebuild, revive, and
strengthen the bond between you. In fact, research outcomes on couples counseling suggest
that by the end of therapy, 75% of couples are better off than couples who did not receive
therapy (1). Overall, most couples will benefit from this type of therapy; however, these benefits
can be experienced in different ways by each partner. With my assistance and clinical
